As travel between Scone & Steigen is pretty complicated, we had necessary (and enjoyable) stops in Bodø and overnight in Bergen on the way home from our week-long exchange visit allowing us to get a wider flavour of Norwegian life. #ErasmusPlus #KA229

Pupils from Nordfold Skole and @RDMScone camped out at the spectacular Brennvika in Leines on Tuesday after a full day of scenic walks looking at local geology and plant life. The backdrop for a friendly football game couldn’t have been better! #erasmusplus

Pupils from Steigen and Scone had an interesting day finding out about the ways of life in a Norwegian village. We saw a community sawmill in action, linked to each home in the village also having two acres of woodland. #erasmusplus @RDMScone @perthacademy

What a fascinating and inspiring visit from @MackayAlix telling our Norway Club at @rdmscone about the history of the Norway-UK collaboration in the Heroes of Telemark and her own adventure recreating it with @ForcesWivesChal #ErasmusPlus @Norw_Scot_News

Alix gave an enthralling insight into the history of the 11 Norwegians who undertook a daring 4-month mission to stop heavy water being produced in Telemark in WW2. We had a go at lifting her kit bag from her team expedition in Feb ‘22.

We are really looking forward to welcoming @MackayAlix to our Norway Club meeting tonight. P7 and S1/2 pupils from @perthacademy will be hearing all about the Forces' Wives Challenge ladies who recreated the 'Heroes of Telemark' journey, skiing across Hardangervidda in Norway

Today we were delighted to have a fascinating visit from Åshild Sande from Norsk Sjømannskirken (Norwegian Seaman’s Church) in Aberdeen. She told us about her important work looking after the welfare of sailors and marine workers around Scotland’s ports. #ErasmusPlus

Today, Norway Club P7 pupils at @RDMScone led a presentation at assembly that they had researched about Scotland & Norway’s connections during WW2, including about the Shetland ‘Bus’. Well done on all your research. #RemembranceDay @PaMemorial
Our P7 Norway Club members have been busy researching the connections between Scotland and Norway in WW2 for our school’s #RemembranceDay assembly later this month. #ErasmusPlus @PaMemorial

Our wonderful week of learning together is coming to an end as our Norwegian guests prepare to travel back home tomorrow (Monday). We ended with a barbecue and reflective time following our canal trip and Kelpies visit today. #ErasmusPlus @erasmusplusUK

Today our Norwegian visitors started thinking about how our schools could add more to our project in our extra year working together. We visited @DiscoveryDundee and had a great time learning about Scotland and Norway’s shared history of polar exploration. #ErasmusPlus

We ended the day with a Ceilidh for everyone, including parents, siblings and staff. There was a lot of Scottish country dancing, singing, food and friendships being further strengthened between the pupils. #ErasmusPlus @RDMScone

It was brilliant to have the Scottish and Norwegian children encouraging one another literally to new heights on the climbing wall tonight at @PerthUHISport. Thank you to the staff there for a great time and being so flexible to our bilingual needs! #ErasmusPlus
We have had a very active day today, visiting Lochore Meadows with P6/7 pupils from @RDMScone and Norwegian visitors. We tried canoeing and biking there before @perthacademy S1s joined us at @PerthUHISport climbing wall this evening. #ErasmusPlus
