The ageing CalMac fleet is limping towards yet another crisis because the SNP Government have failed to properly renew it. The Scottish Government must also set out a detailed programme for ferry construction and fleet renewal.

Far too many Scots have nowhere to live or are paying through the nose in rent. That will never change so long as housebuilding figures are going in the wrong direction. We need to be building more homes to bring down housing costs.

It was extremely powerful to see Green, Reform, Labour and Conservative MSPs all uniting behind this one issue. The Scottish Government must now provide a statement to parliament that recognises this vote for the important moment of consensus that it was.

With over 2,200 people dying from drugs and alcohol in 2025, our minds must be focused on saving lives. We want to see a national rollout of safer drugs consumption centres - proven to save lives, and multi-year funding for all drug and alcohol services.

With gaps of over a decade between inspections some pupils will be finishing school before the inspector turns up. There is no excuse for the government crossing its fingers and hoping schools are doing well without checking.

Many of those who responded to the consultation on the Learning Disabilities, Autism and Neurodivergence Bill feel utterly betrayed by the Scottish Government scrapping it. John Swinney must do the right thing, respect the will of parliament and bring this bill back.

The way our criminal justice system interacts with people with learning disabilities, autism and neurodivergence does not work at present. The LDAN bill that was abandoned by the Scottish Government in part aimed to address this. We need to finally get this bill over the line.

Many of those who responded to the previous consultation feel betrayed by the Scottish Government inviting them to share their stories and then abandoning them. The Scottish Government must respect the will of parliament after this vote and bring back this legislation.

This Budget was missing a real growth plan with Europe at its heart. Without this it can’t match up to the scale of the cost of living crisis. The Chancellor should have done more to bring energy bills down, slashed fuel duty and reduced VAT on our pubs, restaurants and cafes.

After 5 years of sharing their stories and shaping the LDAN bill, many disabled people feel deeply betrayed by the Scottish Government scrapping it. Most of the hard work has already been done. It's time now for parliament to come together and get this legislation over the line.

Families are facing a brutal double whammy of rising bills and the support many have relied upon is disappearing. Liberal Democrats are proposing an emergency breathing space package to cut energy and transport costs and support high street businesses over the next 18 months.

We must drive down domestic demand for fossil fuels. That means making it easier for people to heat their homes affordably without relying on fossil fuels. It means improving public transport, and helping Scottish businesses cut emissions while remaining competitive.

People with learning disabilities, autism and other neurodivergent conditions continue to face barriers across healthcare, education, employment and public services. We need to reintroduce a new law to protect them after the government abandoned promised legislation last month.

A child who was 5 when Nicola Sturgeon committed to ripping up the care system is now 15. The SNP minister talks of commitment to action, to drive change and implement legislation but those children have been hearing these empty promises for years.

To anyone who has worked with young people in care these shockingly high numbers of deaths will depressing but not unexpected. Despite report after report showing how broken things are, the government still refuses to acknowledge that the situation is nowhere near good enough.
