I’m calling it now. I think Jaylin Sellers sticks in the NBA. There’s something about the energy he plays with. Competes defensively, can play off the ball and scores at all three levels. Loved him at UCF and Providence. 48th on my final 2026 board.

Alec Anigbata could be a real surprise for Utah this year. Really interesting physical tools at 6’9, 225. Moves well for his size and has the athleticism to be a legitimate defensive disruptor. Comes from Ratiopharm Ulm in Germany.

Taylen Kinney is an elite passer. Pretty impressive how composed he looks for his age, especially considering he’ll be the floor general for such an experienced Kansas team. Last night vs Louisville: 4 PTS, 6 AST, 1 STL, 1 TO on 2/6 FG.

Excited for the CBB world to finally get to know Nikola Kusturica. Had a blast watching him this summer with Serbia. Can do just about everything on the floor. Truly think he has a chance to be a top 15 player in the country this year at UCLA.

Matas Buteliauskas barely played for Buffalo last year, appearing in just 8 games. 6’7, 200 with a really pure shot. I think there’s a legitimate role for him this year. Size and shooting play.

My bet is that Taison Chatman leads Utah in scoring this year. Big time shot to send the game against Oregon to OT, eventually helping Utah pick up the win. Really like what Chatman brings offensively. Legit shooter/creator.

Really rooting for Utah this year. They’ve brought in some really good mid major talent. Trey Campbell was terrific at Northern Iowa. Really hoping his eligibility holds up. Fun play in transition here from Campbell to Jackson Holcombe.

Utah is betting on mid major transfers making the jump and Malek Gomma will be a big piece of that. Love his athleticism, hands and coordination. These two dunks show it. Think he can hold up defensively in the P&R too. At Weber State: 8.0 PPG, 6.9 RPG, 53.6% FG.

Chandler Watts is a name to know in the Sun Belt. Really physical 6’6 wing who can slash, defend and has great hands. Such an underrated guard skill. Intrigued by Southern Miss this year with preseason POY Isaac Taveras.

Obinna Ekezie Jr. was unbelievable last night. The physicality and rim protection at his age are insane. So many modern NBA center tools. Still not sold on the jumper, even after going 4/6 from three. Can he become a real pick and pop threat?

Kyshawn George might genuinely have a shot at Most Improved Player this year. The improvement from his rookie year to last year was huge, but he looks even better now. The added physicality is unbelievable.

Really liked this play from Jordan Scott last night. If he can add more of this ability to consistently attack close outs that would be massive for Michigan State. 7 PTS, 6 REB, 1 AST, 1 BLK on 3-8 shooting against UConn.

I like Braedan Lue. Huge piece of Kennesaw State’s CUSA title team. Love his physicality and intensity. Interesting seeing Rick Barnes play Lue with DeWayne Brown II. That double big look has potential, even if it struggled vs Duke last night.

I get the Sayon Keita hype, but don’t see a first rounder this year. The mobility at his size is impressive, but the hands and movements still look raw. Think another year or two at UNC could do wonders. Vs Indiana: 12 PTS, 9 REB, 5 BLK

Super high on Colben Landrew. The shot is pure and the physicality is already NBA level. One of the most physical freshmen in CBB. Really interested to see how the handle and secondary playmaking develop. 13 PTS, 5 REB, 1 BLK vs. Michigan State.

Really interested to see where Dame Sarr lands on my next big board. Looks much more confident offensively. We know the D, but improved playmaking and shooting (32.3% from 3 last year) will raise his stock. Last night: 15 PTS, 2 REB, 1 AST, 1 STL.
