Gareth Southgate is the only manager in the world who could take the Bundesliga top scorer, La Liga player of the season and the EPL player of the season, and pick a system that makes all three completely ineffective. #ENGSLO

Yet again the players let Carrick down. Absolute stupidity. #CHEMUN

We're rock bottom of the league for expected goals against & chances conceded. It comes as no surprise, but there it is. The team need to massively up their game because if that stat is still the same at the end of the season, we'll be saying hello to league 2. #UTMP

Budget summary: - £100 for millions costing £2.6bn so we can more likely win an early election. #Budget2026

There's something very wrong at our club. We need a clear out from top to bottom because we cannot go on appointing a new manager every season. We're getting nowhere doing that, which tells me that the problem is more deep rooted than the manager. #UTMP

I'm not sure that Bromley losing to Leicester should be a catalyst for Andy Woodman to be sacked. Makes you wonder where Bromley think they should be in the football pyramid. It certainly isn't where everyone else would see them.

Some brilliant quality in this game - and England players involved in every goal. #BAYARS

Utd are absolutely terrible. Genuinely shocking. One of the worst performances I've seen by an English side in Europe. #COMMUN

"If you took the goals out of the game" If only we could, Ian. Most of them have been against us this season. #UTMP
🟠 "If you took the goals out of the game, you'd say that we were the better team...on the wrong end of a couple of refereeing decisions again". #Blackpool head coach Ian Evatt after losing 2 - 0 at Leyton #Orient #utmp | #bbcfootball

That was a superb performance from England. Couple of shaky moments again at the back, but I think we currently have the two best sides in the world in this group. #CROENG

The consequences of this are so far reaching and messy that the cost is going to be astronomical, and it'll be a cloud hanging over the EPL for years.
BREAKING! Sky Sports News understands that players and their representatives have contacted lawyers over potential claims against Man City. It's understood that players are consulting lawyers over missed bonuses - whether that is from missing out on a title or on European qualification.

Anthony Gordon has gone up a level since he joined Barca. And is there any chance Lee Dixon might call out Saka for being poor tonight, or are Arsenal players immune? #CZEENG

Everyone's saying send Man City to league 2. Why would league 2 want them....send them further down. FC United derby day.
🚨 More details from Premier League statement on Manchester City. The independent Commission found that Manchester City arranged ‘sham’ commercial deals with a number of its sponsors during the period, which were part of a disguised funding scheme, whereby those companies were only required to pay a portion of the relevant sponsorship fees. The remainder was funded by Abu Dhabi United Group Investment & Development Ltd (ADUG), which owned the club. As part of the scheme, further ‘sham’ arrangements, funded by ADUG, were entered into to enable the club to record lower operating expenses than it actually incurred, as well as a ‘sham’ circular arrangement with Fordham, an entity that purchased the club’s players’ image rights, that was funded by ADUG. The purpose of these schemes was found to have been to artificially inflate the club’s revenues, and reduce its costs, by more than £900 million during the affected period, to appear to comply with financial rules. The consequence of this, as the Commission found, was that the club filed misstated accounts and concealed the true state of its finances from its auditors and football regulators. The Commission concluded that ‘by its conduct the club clearly intended to circumvent the PL Rules‘. As a result, Manchester City failed to accurately report its income and expenditure for the purposes of the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules and UEFA’s Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Rules. The Commission found that, had all of the relevant agreements been reported accurately in the club’s accounts, it would have been in breach of both the League’s and UEFA’s spending limits by a very substantial amount.
