Excited to share @SeanBurnap's latest work in our lab, about the interactions between SARS-CoV-2 spike protein and high-density lipoproteins! #XLMS #HDL

Congratulations @SeanBurnap for the MJ Dunn fellowship award👏! #BSPR
Delighted to share perhaps the last of my work to come from my time in the Mayr lab @Vascular_Prot. Here we used cross-linking mass spectrometry #XLMS to uncover interactions between the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein and high-density lipoproteins #HDL. mcponline.org/article/S1535-… 🧵1/7
However, to our surprise, ApoD overexpression failed to influence SARS-CoV-2 replication and infection in cell-based assays. 6/7
A massive thank you to our collaborators, particularly @KaloyanTakov and of course the Mayr lab @Vascular_Prot. 7/7

Quick bump on the below 👇 we are looking for a pdra to apply protein labelling methods to aid cryoEM of #glycotime biosynthesis inside cells. Closing next week 10th. Contact me for more details opportunities.rfi.ac.uk/vaca…
In other news, I have an opening for a PDRA in my group @RosFrankInst opportunities.rfi.ac.uk/vaca… Job is to apply (bio)chemical protein labelling methods to aid cryo-EM and ET imaging. End goal is to see #glycotime machinery working inside cells. Contact me for details. Pls share
