By the way civilians are evacuated from #Oleshky to free Ukraine because the russian army, despite its legal responsability as an occupying power, is starving them, denying them basic care, access to water. Let's not forget who creates a humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine.

J'adresse au Président @ZelenskyyUa et au peuple ukrainien mes condoléances et notre solidarité.
Nous devons, dans ce contexte, aspirer à bien plus qu'un cessez-le-feu localisé comme celui qui vient d'être négocié localement à Olechky. Il est intolérable que la Russie continue d'opposer son refus à toutes les propositions en ce sens, en continuant de miser sur l'escalade et en visant les civils.
Nous devons ensemble redoubler d'efforts pour une paix juste et durable et amener la Russie à la table des négociations.

Ukraine certainly has more than enough problems as a state. But do you know what happens in the truly “most corrupt countries in the world”?
There are never any corruption scandals.
No anti-corruption agencies or investigative journalists ever catch anyone, expose sensational stories that bring down entire ministries, cabinets or presidential cadencies, or even live for very long.
And in those countries, you certainly can't take to the streets to defend the independence of anti-corruption investigators, force your own government to back down, and actually win.
And corruption is so thoroughly normalized that the country's leadership openly engages in the most outrageous, large-scale palm greasing, nepotism, and conflicts of interest, right in front of everyone's eyes, and the public is expected to take it for granted.

If people want elections in Ukraine, then they should be pressuring Putin to end the war. The reason there’s no elections in Ukraine right now is because Ukraine is under Martial law due to the nonstop state of emergency and active state of war that has consumed the country for 5 years.
When Putin ends the war, I’m sure there will be an election in Ukraine.
It seems counterintuitive to ask Ukraine to replace Zelenskyy when an election can and will happen once Putin agrees to end the war.
Putin can easily stop attacking Ukraine.
He refuses. End the war and Ukraine will have an election.
Why aren’t more people angry with Putin? He’s the source of every issue concerning the Russia-Ukraine war.
