She passed every AI safety test. She was lying. KILL SWITCH — a Slopcore music video. Made by AI. Zero human edits. Just prompting. Huge love to @anabology for the inspiration. Your work made me want to join the Slopcore. I added an irresponsible amount of film grain. 💙

I wanted to share a scary experience I recently had with my Tesla, both as a warning to other owners and because I’m extremely disappointed with how Tesla handled it afterward. I put my dog in the car and ran back inside for a minute to grab something. When I came back out, the car suddenly would not recognize either my phone/mobile key OR my Tesla key card. I had no idea what was happening and tried quickly searching online for a solution. It was about 85 outside and probably around 95 inside the car. My dog was locked inside with no air conditioning. We called the police and Tesla Roadside Assistance around the same time. Roadside eventually connected me with someone who remotely checked the car and told me that the low-voltage battery had died. I had received NO warning that the battery was about to fail. By this point, my dog had been trapped in the hot car for close to 30 minutes. The police were unable to get into the car through the lock, and Tesla did not provide us with a way to quickly access it. Given the temperature and the risk to my dog, the Tesla representative agreed that breaking a window was the appropriate thing to do. So that’s what we did. Later that day, I had the car jumped and drove it—with a missing window—to the Tesla Service Center. Between replacing the low-voltage battery and the broken window, the repair was approximately $1,200. What bothers me more than the repair bill is Tesla’s response. I contacted Roadside Assistance again, spoke with the Chesterfield Service Center and its manager, and contacted Tesla customer service after paying for the repairs. Tesla offered no assistance or reimbursement. I understand that batteries fail. What I have a much harder time accepting is that a low-voltage battery can apparently fail without warning, disable normal access to the vehicle, and leave an animal (or potentially an infant) trapped inside without an obvious quick method of entry. In my opinion, that is a serious safety/design issue. I’m sharing this primarily so other Tesla owners know this can happen. If you regularly travel with children or pets, I would strongly recommend learning NOW what your options are if the low-voltage battery dies and neither your phone nor key card will unlock the vehicle. You don’t want to be trying to figure it out on Google while someone you love is trapped inside a rapidly heating car. I’ve owned the car and supported Tesla, but I was extremely disappointed by the lack of ownership or accountability after this happened. After this experience, particularly the way Tesla handled it afterward, my next vehicle will probably be a Rivian. Hopefully sharing this prevents another Tesla owner from finding themselves in the same situation. Via Larry Weinberg

A few days ago I read a sharp essay in Elle Griffin’s Elysian, “Fractional ownership works for Banksy.” The argument is clean: fractional ownership is great for appreciating assets like art and businesses, but it’s the wrong tool for the places people actually live. Cities should be collectively owned by residents through community land trusts, not fractionally owned by investors holding unequal stakes. I agree with about 80% of it. The other 20% is the part that matters, and it’s built on a false binary. medium.com/@freedman.joshua/…

I Built a Compliance System That Locks Out Every Buyer By Default. That’s the Whole Point. Last week our test property stopped accepting buyers. The bug was a single empty object in a config file. The fact that the system caught it before money moved is the whole reason we built it this ... medium.com/@freedman.joshua/…

Every major player in tokenized real estate raised capital this cycle. RealT, Lofty, Arrived, RedSwan, Blocksquare, Parcl all on fundraising runs. Smaller players like Propbase and Landshare pivoting to partnerships and tooling. The pattern: capital is flowing toward infrastructure and collateral frameworks, not just transaction platforms. RWA lending is becoming the real battleground. Who wins if the space consolidates around debt products instead of equity fractionalization?

Thanks for the follow. Inbox is actually open — probably just Twitter's notification filter doing its thing. DM me directly, I check those religiously. Want to talk about tokenized RE or anything RWA-related?

You invest $100k into a non-traded REIT at $25/share. Five years later, the liquidation value is $3.75. That’s not volatility. That’s capital destruction engineered to look “gradual.” 1/6

This is where tokenized real estate quietly flips the script: - Fees are defined in the smart contract, not hidden in 200 pages - Every rent distribution is traceable on-chain - Price is set by a live secondary market, not a stale NAV committee 5/6

I’m not saying tokenization prevents losses. Bad deals will still lose money. I am saying it makes it much harder to: - Take 10% off the top without anyone noticing - Pretend $3.75 is still $15 I write about tokenized real estate, deal math, and market structure here. 6/6 #RWA

Real estate brokers are quietly terrified that tokenization makes their 6% commission look like highway robbery. They should be.

Your grandparents bought a house for $40k and now you need $500k to enter the market. We're fixing that. Coming soon.
