Incorrect. There are dozens of faculty job postings in universities across the country to which white and Asian men are literally not allowed to apply.

Young Cdns can already study, work & travel. We already have tons of trade agreements with EU & individual countries. Improve our sovereignty by tying us more closely to a bunch of failing economies & failing societies? C'mon. This is Carney's vanity project for his own future.
In a couple days the Canada-EU Summit will be held in Montreal to move Canada towards an Associate Member...but there are some interesting things happening. Quebec Premier Paul St-Pierre Plamondon was banned from speaking at the Summit. France, Germany and other key EU countries are pushing back against Canada's joining the EU as Associate Member. These are our biggest allies. Mark Carney promotes it as: > Give young Canadians opportunities to study, work and travel. > More opportunities for Canadian businesses. > Canadian researchers will have more depth of opportunities. And somehow being tied to the EU will make Canada " a more independent, more sovereign nation". How?! The reality is that Canadian youth and businesses already have access to all these relationships and opportunities with the EU. So what is this really about??

I imagine my Jewish friends in Toronto feel like a side was chosen with the re-election of Olivia Chow and it wasn't your side. Know that there are still many of us who are on your side & we will continue to speak out. We will continue to support you. I wish we could protect you.

This is why I side with the CCFR. I'm not a gun owner but I support their cause strictly from a property rights perspective. The suggestion by @gary_srp that the guns are to be "returned" implies that they belong to the gov't. And if they can do that for guns, they can do that for anything.
📺 WATCH: Today, Safety Minister @Gary_SRP argued with a reporter over future compensation once the Supreme Court renders a decision in CCFR v Canada "There are people who aren't returning their weapons." "Will they be [compensated with] money once @SCC_eng makes its decision?"

Justin Trudeau discontinued enforcement of the First Nations Financial Transparency Act. As a result, many bands are not conducting proper audits. This must be reversed. **ALL** taxpayer money must be subject to scrutiny, including funding of First Nations.

Just TWO DAYS until Mark Carney's big EU summit in Montreal, and his grand European fantasy is already falling apart. Germany, France and several other European countries are pushing back against Canada's proposed “associate membership” label. Meanwhile, Britain is refusing to join Carney's proposed defence bank. The self-proclaimed international dealmaker seems to be collecting rejection letters faster than actual results. Canadians deserve a Prime Minister focused on fixing Canada, not chasing his dream of becoming Europe's newest bureaucrat.

CTV is doing the exact same thing In their recent interview, Frank McKenna is introduced only as “Former Canadian ambassador to the United States.” No mention that he has been Chair of Brookfield Corporation since 2010 — the same firm where Mark Carney was Chair of Brookfield Asset Management until he ran for Liberal leader No mention of his long-standing ties to Carney, or that he has repeatedly praised the Prime Minister’s direction Viewers are left with the impression they’re hearing from a neutral former diplomat, not the current chairman of one of the world’s largest asset managers with deep connections to the PM. No mention that Carney still stands to gain advantageously from two specific Brookfield funds Selective disclosure isn’t just a CBC problem @omarsachedina
Frank McKenna has been a director of Brookfield since 2006 and has been the Chair of the Board of Directors for Brookfield Corporation (formerly Brookfield Asset Management) since August 2010. He endorsed Carney for Prime Minister, and he might have been instrumental in his interest to run as far back as 2012... but CBC only calls him "former Canadian ambassador to the United States" CBC's ongoing selective disclosure exposes its biases @brodiefenlon

Why is CBC just repeating Carney’s claptrap instead of asking for the actual details of a Canada-EU deal? Carney, wandering into work: “The good news is it doesn’t matter about specific names or nomenclature. What matters is the difference that it will make to lives of Canadians, young Canadians, in terms of opportunities to study, work and travel…” CBC's David Common dutifully frames it as the launch of deeper ties, possible Erasmus participation, and a move toward “associate membership” — all while Canadians still have no official text, no costed benefits, no trade-offs, and no clear explanation of what any of this actually commits Canada to The summit is Thursday–Friday. Either publish the substance or stop treating vague hallway optimism as actual news @CBCNews

Nonsense. But the line will be repeated, and more convincingly delivered, when Mark Carney is President of the European Commission.
Europe is warming at double the global rate. To become truly climate resilient, we need to adjust and learn along the way. Our European Climate Resilience Framework will help us anticipate, prepare for, and manage climate risks. By including climate resilience in policies across the Union, supporting investment, innovation and long-term growth. link.europa.eu/QfFKKh

Canada has a serious debt problem, and the Parliamentary Budget Officer has just put some disturbing numbers on the table. Another $732.9 billion in projected federal borrowing over five years. Annual interest costs climbing toward $83 billion. And federal debt growing faster than the economy. Think about that. By 2030, Ottawa could be spending nearly $2,000 per Canadian annually just servicing the federal debt. That’s money unavailable for healthcare transfers, infrastructure, tax relief or reducing the debt itself. Carney promised competent economic management. Yet the PBO is warning that his government’s fiscal rules provide limited spending discipline. Borrowing for productive investment can make sense. But calling something an investment doesn’t automatically make it productive. Where are the measurable returns? Where is the accountability? The real issue isn’t whether Ottawa can borrow another three-quarters of a trillion dollars. It’s whether Canadians will receive enough economic benefit to justify the additional obligations. You cannot build lasting prosperity by increasing government debt faster than the economy’s capacity to support it. Eventually, taxpayers pay for political promises made years earlier. And future generations don’t get to vote on the bills we’re leaving them today.
🇨🇦💳📈😲 : Pierre Poilievre says Canadians will assume another $730 billion in new Federal debt, in just five years. Which works out to $40K worth of new debt, for every single Canadian. Canadians are watching more and more of their taxes go to pay interest on debt, at the expense of government services. We are becoming slaves to debt. It's that simple. I warned on Friday the government seeks out crisis after crisis, so they can borrow endlessly, with almost no accountability over how the money is wasted. There is a very real cost to assuming all this new debt. Especially at a time when the Canadian economy and wages are not catching up to the inflation rate. Most Canadians are getting poorer compared to our friends and families in the USA. It's very noticeable and if left unchecked, we can expect soon to see the same levels of chaotic unrest and riots, that are seen in Europe.

100% what Ellis said. The media have got to stop platforming what UBCIC’s Stewart Phillip says as if he represents the BC First Nations perspective. They are torquing antagonistic sentiments on both sides.

Exner-Pirot on the Clean Fuel Standard (CFR): "There is an even more insidious aspect to the CFR. To meet their carbon intensity targets, many Canadian refiners blend biofuels into their petroleum products. But Canada is not self-sufficient in their production. More than half of Canada’s biofuels are imported, predominantly from the United States. Somehow, in the middle of a trade war and an energy crisis, it has gone unnoticed that Canada — the aspiring energy superpower — has artificially made itself dependent on the United States for fuel. The vulnerability was brutally exposed with U.S. President Donald Trump’s diesel export ban threat, when refiners were scrambling to find out if renewable diesel bound for Canada would be caught in the net. It is a favourite line of the Carney government that, amidst geopolitical rupture and trade disruption, “Canada is focused on what we can control.” The CFR is at the top of the list of self-harming, expensive and distortive policies that Canada controls, and has every interest in rolling back." @ExnerPirot

ULTIMO MINUTO!

🇬🇧 just rejected Carney's defense bank. Only 8 countries have joined including Ukraine. Nothing to see here. 🤪
The "middle powers" joining Carney's Defense Bank by GDP ranking: 💰Turkey (16), Belgium (24), Romania (39), Greece (52), Ukraine (57), Luxembourg (79), Latvia (99), Albania (119) 🚫No G7 country. 🇺🇦 has received >$26 billion from 🇨🇦 & >$360 billion total. Some "contributor." 📉Carney's GFANZ banking alliance collapsed last year. As will this "bank." ➡️ Neither Carney, Champagne nor David McGuinty will provide details on 🇨🇦 defense budget given the huge spending announcements made this year.
