That’s crazy, and if it ever gets out I’ll deny it.

Road Games (1981)-Richard Franklin’s homage to Hitchcock is ‘Rear Window in a Semi.’ Keach is the conspiracy-minded truck driver haulng a load of pork across the Aussie Outback & tailing a suspected serial killer. Curtis hitches a ride & joins the hunt. Proper thriller. 👍👍

The Doctor (1991):
Hotshot Doc Bill Hurt gets a tumor and becomes a beleaguered patient.
It’s got humor, irony and pathos.
Good cast, including Chicago Hope stars Adam Arkin & Mandy “Patinkman”, Maude’s husband, and Dane from Miller’s Crossing.

Thunderball remake Never Say Never Again was quite the sensation in ‘83 for restoring Connery’s double-oh status.
Outgrossed by Octopussy despite some favorable reviews.
There’s plenty to enjoy but it’s no Diamonds are Forever.

Look who dropped by my table earlier! Tanya Lemani! How fun! -B
Fans of I Dream of Jeannie will remember her as the belly dancer in 1st season episode "The Americanization of Jeannie." Jeannie was not amused by her belly dancing that caught Capt. Nelson's eye at dinner. Tanya is a world traveled belly dancer who has danced with Elvis Presley, seen on Star Trek, I Dream of Jeannie and other productions.
Thank you, C.Z.
Yes, people are laughing their asses of watching this delightful episode of Dame Taft Movie Show.

78/52 (2017)- Documentary about the pivotal shower scene in Psycho. Not great, but not terrible. Some dumb ‘recreations’ & inexplicable talking head choices (Elijah Wood?!), but thankfully plenty of editors were included (Walter Murch especially) who break down Hitch’s stabfest.
One Potato, Two Potato (1964):
BarneyMiller’s wife hooks up with Starsky&Hutch’s Cap’n.
(You can see how a white girl could fall for him.)😏
EmptyNest star sues for custody of their kid.
DarthVader’s dad co-stars.
Good movie.
Sadly, there are no potatoes, @CardiffElect.😕🚫

Friedkin’s serial killer/courtroom drama Rampage (1987) pales in comparison to Manhunter et al.
Starring Johnny Ringo from the Tombstone, Mercy from The Warriors and DeputyDodd from The Dead Zone.
Horrid acting by the supporting cast.😬
This is the guy who directed Sorcerer?!😖

This weekend marks the anniversary of “Daydream Believer,” released on October 25, 1967.
Written by John Stewart of the Kingston Trio, and produced by Chip Douglas, it became one of those records that seemed to be an instant hit. Davy sang the lead, I sang harmony, Mike played guitar, Peter played piano, and Chip was there on bass and percussion. Shorty Rogers supplied the orchestral arrangement.
The single became our third No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, holding the top spot for four weeks. It also reached No. 1 in Canada, New Zealand, Ireland and South Africa, No. 2 in Australia and Norway, No. 4 in Germany and Japan, and No. 5 in the U.K.
Peter came up with that instantly recognizable piano introduction, and the B-side was “Goin’ Down.” It had actually been recorded during the sessions for PISCES, AQUARIUS, CAPRICORN & JONES LTD., but wound up appearing on THE BIRDS, THE BEES & THE MONKEES instead.
Let's hear it for "Daydream Believer!"
