With affordable, transit-oriented housing as a top priority, Rep. Ann Williams and I sent a letter to ComEd to share our concerns about their plans to build a substation on a residential stretch of Diversey. Learn more at the link below: senatorsara.com/feigenholtz-…

I have heard the reports from Michigan about a violent attack on a synagogue. I am keeping all who attend the synagogue, West Bloomfield, Michiganders, and the entire American Jewish community in my thoughts. The rise in antisemitic violence across the world is horrifying and perpetrators must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Those who spread antisemitic messages must immediately be condemned for their bigotry.

The Northern Illinois Transit Authority Act is law! This law was designed to create the public transit system Illinois deserves and provide sustainable funding for that system. We look forward to bringing NITA to fruition and making transit safe, reliable, and accessible to all.

Today, Illinois takes another step to protect families from the impact of this federal administration halting SNAP benefits. Parents do everything in their power to give their kids the chance to be successful. How much more should they have to sacrifice? abc7chicago.com/post/snap-fo…

The presence of ICE in our community is deeply troubling. Let me be clear: they are not welcome here. Immigrants are the heart and strength of our district. My office stands firmly in support of our immigrant neighbors and will continue to fight for their safety and dignity.

ICE’s recent actions in our city are horrifying and condemnable on every level. They are tearing families apart, using excessive force on our children, and sowing fear in our neighborhoods. The Trump administration has no regard for due process or basic rights

Jim Edgrar will be remembered as an honest, no-nonsense governor who didn't care much for partisn politics. My favorite quote: "It’s nice to get the editorials, ...stories and things-- more importantly, I think you just want the guy in the street to say, ‘Oh, you did good job
