Day 7
Today I learnt about the Laravel Request Lifecycle which is the journey an incoming HTTP request takes from the moment it hits your web server until a response is delivered back to the client's browser.

Day 6
Today I built my very first page, and the route that opens it. I just dumped plain html into the script, but blade templating engine will come in handy a little later on.

Day 5
Today I learnt about command line tools (php artisan....). In the project directory, there is a file called artisan which does not have an extension. But it is actually a php file

Day 4 Learnt git fundamentals (init, add, commit) and pushed my first project to GitHub. Task manager is now live on @github (github.com/SentinelleTech/ta…)
#100DaysOfCode #Laravel
Day 2 & 3 of #Laravel: built a full CRUD task manager from scratch — migrations, models, controllers, routes, Blade views. Hit two real bugs (typo in timestamps(), missing view files) and debugged both from the error output. Full MVC flow finally clicked. 😰 #100DaysOfLaravel
The first lesson is always installation and configuration when learning a new technology. Today is day 1 of my @Laravel development journey.

What is an immutable class in Java?
An immutable class is a class whose instances, once created, cannot have their internal state modified.

"I just need users to go to different pages after login."
Famous last words.
3 days of Laravel role-based authentication later:
- Middleware not registering
- auth() ->user() has no 'isAdmin()' method
- 403 errors everywhere

Java developers: Stop using null checks everywhere.
Instead of this:
if (user != null && user.getName() != null) {
return user.getName();
}
return "Unknown";
Use:
return Optional.ofNullable(user)
.map(User::getName)
.orElse("Unknown");
#Java #javadev #CodingTips
Bonus: Optional also works great for method returns
Instead of returning null and forcing callers to check:
public User findUserById(Long id) {
// returns null if not found ❌
}
