This is true however the Anglo always starts from the position that everyone else is wrong. The Gael will at least hear you out.
There's the Virginia gentleman farmer (usually Anglo stock), then there's the Appalachian tribal patriarch (usually Scottish/Gaelic stock). Both of them will challenge you to some sort of combat over matters of honor, but the gentleman will concede when he's beaten. Be advised: the Appalachian Gael is unlikely to concede even when he's been beaten.
