The worst part of that "We can take the heat" claim is that they didn't for Zoey.
Threads about her, included the one to communicate she passed away, and the Pride activities of that year got muted because the heat was "too much".

Id benefit from “touching grass” ((spending ACTUAL TIME in nature)). But the longer im here in my old town the more i realize that i dont regret leaving. I get these “moments” where i wonder if i made the right choice
And being here has confirmed that I really have. Its “pleasant” to visit in the way putting on an old worn jacket is. The jacket may server its purpose but its worn and dirty and probably needs to be let go of despite the attachment.
Lowkey passed a pecan tree in the midst of walking back to the clinic from a different direction and got hit with a wave of memories I didnt expect. I havent thought about my great grandma nor great granpa in a while now but they were a pleasant memories in an otherwise unkind
Had an appointment today back in my old town and took the chance to walk around and explore since I had some time to kill between my finished stuff until getting picked up
