Yearly reminder that if you see an AFL fixture difficulty table and it doesn’t take in to account where the games are played just ignore it
You could put the 2 least appealing teams in the AFL on the opening night and the difference between people who would be excited to watch it might be 5%-10% less of the max possible viewership and it's 1 game out of a 218 game season.

Got told last year that in Bont’s contract, to help the club attract top talent he agreed to take a pay cut to help achieve that. If they couldn’t then he would get his full amount. So this is Bont celebrating a pay cut.
You can't tell me these teams haven't used some sort of mixed-integer linear programming solver to achieve this level of trade. Plug in what each team has, what each team wants and then spin the wheel for the closest match and go back and forth on it until all parties happy.

fwiw this is the same reasoning the umps gave for not giving NWM the 3 votes in THAT game. Umps looked at quarter by quarter as opposed to the whole game. Doesn't work.
Imagine if a fwd kicks 4 goals in the last quarter to win the game off basically his own boot. But he can only get votes in the last quarter where as a 33 disposal mid is uncatchable by that time.
