Blender 5.2.0 currently has a glitch where if you use autosave functions during texture painting you will crash. I'm still researching, but any tools using bpy.ops.image.save_all_modified() while painting will cause the issue.

Blender devs confirmed the issue: projects.blender.org/blender… For now either turn off any auto-saving addon tools or stay on 5.1.2 and deal with the paint masking issue lol
