This is not actually Shane, but it is run by the same person that runs Shane's official website... so it's not all bad!

The 79 minute on-stage Q&A with Shane and Bob Hoskins in 1997 on this new blu-ray is fantastic. Lots of info and laughs. Interestingly Shane repeatedly mentions that his next film is going to be a Western! Clearly that didn't happen.

Recently bought the swanky new blu-ray of Twenty Four Seven and wish there was a commentary from Shane on it? Well you're in luck. The old DVD commentary with Shane and co-writer Paul Fraser is up on YouTube! youtube.com/watch?v=RiwlA1GS… Thanks to @PeterFletcher27 for the tip-off!

CHORK. The new film from Shane Meadows. In Cinemas 2026. Beyond excited to be working with Shane again on his return to cinema. An incredible privilege. We can't wait for you to meet his and co-writer Jack Thorne's amazing young characters and join their 'runaway' road trip.

I'll try and get round to making the old DVD commentary available, which featured Shane and co-writer Paul Fraser (which hasn't made its way onto this new release).

Twenty Four Seven bluray now up for pre-order on Amazon. amazon.co.uk/Twenty-Four-Sev… I’m very interested to see the 79 minute Guardian interview with Shane and Bob Hoskins which is dated as 1997/2025, so must be a mix of a new interview Shane with the older Shane and Bob one.

Other than a couple of other little bits tangentially related from the BFI archive, there’s a new Andrew Graves (Film Tutor and Freelance Writer) commentary track. I guess the old DVD commentary featuring Shane and Paul Fraser eating crisps wasn’t classy enough for the BFI. Haha
