● Clean Energy Innovation: Hosting IC-MAP (DST), led by Prof. Shaijumon, bringing 15 institutestogether to advance solid-state battery technology using ML & AI. The Centre for Solid-State Battery Technology is developing miniature batteries for commercialization.
● Food Safety Breakthrough: In collaboration with Kerala Agricultural University, researchers developed a pesticide detection technology for fruits & vegetables using SERS technology.
● Research Park & Startups: Signed an MoA with Kerala Startup Mission to foster knowledge exchange, research collaborations, and startup support.
● Global Research Initiative: Secured ₹6.37 crore (DST) for a 5-year Indo-German research project with University of Würzburg, enabling the exchange of 32 students & 20 faculty.

○ Prof. Kana M. Sureshan – INSA Fellow
○ Prof. Utpal Manna – FNASc Fellow
● International Recognition:
○ Nobel Laureate Prof. Morten Meldal delivered a public lecture at IISER TVM (Jan 6, 2024).

ALT Tailoring the organic cathode: By introducing chlorine substitution and thiourea linker in the perylene polyimide skeleton, we have discussed an approach to simultaneously tweak the reduction potential and address the solubility issues of organic electrodes for sodium-ion batteries.
