There'll be plenty said about that @OfficialSLC batting performance. But what about that decision to bowl first? #SLvsNZ

@ChiefsRugby playing under penalty advantage in the 23rd min against @MoanaPasifika_ . Clear overlap and 15 sends a long ball to 12. It's not a great pass and 12 has to dive for it and knocks it forward. Ref calls knock on and awards the penalty.

If the pass was good, or had been well caught, Tupaea would have strolled in for the try. The advantage law is not about two bites at the cherry. If the team under advantage botches a clear opportunity with bad handling, should they get a second go?

Everyone has to contribute to 'building the country'. Everyone else, that is...

I'm a big fan of Razor, but not including Hoskins' creativity into the @AllBlacks third row is a massive error in judgment

Hats off to @PereraAndSons for following up some bona-fide feedback and taking my views on board. Ultimately, when it comes to food it's a matter of personal taste. However, P&S breudher and yule log have been childhood staples and hopefully they will remain rustic and simple.

Why is @PereraAndSons trying to fix something that isn't broken? For the last few years they've tampered with the small Yule log with two stumps and completely destroyed everything good about it. As a devoted 40+ years Yule log eater, I'm devastated by the current offering #MYLGA

Very sad that @isaguha was compelled to explain her values and what she stood for, in her apology. They should be obvious and her sadness at being deliberately (maliciously) misunderstood was palpable

The NPP will find out very quickly that being an accessible, accountable government, is bloody difficult. It's rigorous, unglamourous work. Hopefully, they will learn and grow and not take the alternative route of their predecessor governments.
Access to information MUST NOT be a battle. It's one of the pillars of democracy but reaching people and getting answers is becoming a challenge. "Repeated attempts throughout yesterday to contact the Energy Minister as well as Energy Secretary Udayanga Hemapala failed....

WTAF!!? Does a rice mill need 3.5bn LKR for?
We traced the issue pertaining to the rice shortages. Certain #rice mill owners have obtained credit amounting to Rs. 15 Bn from state banks. However, after obtaining the loan, they do not supply rice to the market. There is a national list candidate from your party who has obtained Rs. 3.5 Bn from the Islamic Bank via the Bank of Ceylon. Credit cannot be issued like that. - Min. Wasantha Samarasinghe #SriLanka #Colombo #Parliament #SLnews

Not sharing because I'm an NPP supporter. But if this is sincere and not gallery speak, then all the best!

Trust the Experts
The House released their 500+ page report on the COVID-19 pandemic. key findings: 1. COVID-19 likely originated from a lab-related incident in Wuhan, linked to gain-of-function research funded with U.S. taxpayer dollars. 2. Over $200B in relief funds lost to fraud, with criminals exploiting weak oversight. 3. Prolonged lockdowns and arbitrary mandates caused severe harm—economic devastation, mental health crises, and historic learning loss—while lacking robust scientific support. 4. Policies ignored natural immunity, pushing mandates that eroded trust and harmed public perception of science. 5. WHO and CDC compromised by political interference, offering inconsistent, unscientific guidance that fueled public distrust. 6. Key players, including federal agencies and Cuomo’s administration, actively obstructed oversight efforts and hid critical evidence.

Not a single member of the 2022 Wickremesinghe cabinet was reelected to Parliament; total vindication for critics of the stability narrative. As more details of the grift, fraud & malfeasance of that cabinet is revealed, history will judge them not as saviors but traitors.
