The fact that CPS still stands as an organization tells you the simple reality - There isn't a single political actor or political organization on the side of children. This will be 100 percent citizen led. Period.

Wave a wand - If we were "in charge" The US military would be deployed at every single CPS office in a no-knock warrant, including lifetime audit of email and financials for every single employee that has every worked there. Too harsh? Not harsh enough.
Wanna know what happens when I report serious issues about employees within Arizona CPS to the office of the omsbudsman?
I receive cease and desist letters from their attorney/handlers.

Worried about CPS complaints in hospitals?
Refusals in hospitals often get answered with a CPS call. Here's how to protect yourself in real time:
- Stay calm. Raised voices get charted as "agitated."
- Say: "I'm making an informed decision. Please chart my reasons."
- Ask for the medical reason in writing.
- Ask for risk management.
- Get your support person to record names and times.
Your calm goes in the record too.
It sure did 🤣

Omg
HHS wants to cut the federal reporting required of agencies that take children from their parents by 60.78%.
The regulations would no longer require them to put in writing what they set out to do, whether they did it, or who they heard from, parents included.
Parents fighting to bring their children home need that record. Cutting it protects the agency, not the child.
In 2025, Congress required states to consult parents with child welfare experience when writing these plans. HHS's proposal describes that law without them.
No state has ever passed the federal Child and Family Services Reviews. Not one in 25 years. HHS's answer is less paper.
If these agencies take federal money, every decision goes on the record. Full transparency. No exceptions.
