How to fix College football bowls:
Bowl sponsors pay the winning team $1M in NIL money for next season + $50K to every player on the roster.
- Most players currently make $0 from NIL, so this gives them real incentive to play.
- Fans get a meaningful game and something to celebrate.
- The program gets more resources for the following year.
Players show up. Games matter. Bowls stop feeling like exhibitions. Could be a game changer for smaller programs.

Miami does its damage AFTER halftime; the Canes led Clemson just 17-6 at the break before it turned into a 41-13 rout, and Florida State has shown it can start fast, jumping out 14-0 on Louisville a week ago while ranking seventh in the country in red zone efficiency.
Ashton Daniels has 10 rushing touchdowns, a single-season Florida State record for a quarterback, and Ousmane Kromah has cleared 80 yards in all six games; a run-first plan in a rivalry game shortens the half, keeps Darian Mensah on the sideline and leaves Miami with fewer possessions to build a two-score cushion before the break.
Miami has scored FOUR touchdowns all season and has not topped 13 points in a single game; Malik Willis has one touchdown against two interceptions with 11 sacks taken, and De'Von Achane just went to IR with a knee, which pulls the only explosive piece out of the worst offense in football.
Joe Burrow ranks fifth in the league at 292.8 passing yards per game with a 71.3% completion rate, against a Dolphins defense allowing 24.2 points per game; Dohnte Meyers caught seven of nine targets for 82 yards when he was thrust into a bigger role last week, so Burrow has someone to throw to whoever is active.
