Anyone know what’s happening with Foster House at 9th & Rhode Island NW? The vacant building owes $2.1M+ in taxes and related charges. A 2024 settlement required its sale within two years, preserving 76 affordable apartments. Any updates?

ICYMI, this was proposed for Foster House in 2022: 198 apartments, including 76 deeply affordable units for returning residents and 122 market-rate units, plus shared amenities. The redevelopment stalled amid litigation over housing conditions and tenants’ rights.

Several of the juvenile suspects have been apprehended after leading police on a foot chase near Eight Street and Q Street NW. Several of the apprehensions were made in the area of the Dacha Beer Garden— putting on a show for bar-goers. MPD’s Falcon 🚁 remains circling the area from above, searching for any outstanding suspects… #DCCrime
