We appreciate DOE Under Secretary Kyle Haustveit’s visit to El Campo and the opportunity for @AEPTexas to highlight the teams and technologies helping power a stronger grid.
EL CAMPO - On August 19, the U.S. Department of @Energy @EnergyUnderSec Kyle Haustveit conducted a site visit at the AEP Texas El Campo Service Center following the July 7 closing of AEP Texas' $3.26 billion Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) loan. AEP Texas employees provided Under Secretary Kyle Haustveit a firsthand view of how AEP Texas is leveraging advanced technologies and operational practices to strengthen grid reliability and resiliency. Discussions included transmission investments, drone-enabled inspections, vegetation management and wildfire mitigation, artificial intelligence and machine learning applications, storm response capabilities, and field technology integration. Under Secretary Haustveit also participated in a field demonstration showcasing AEP Texas' Mission Intelligence Team and use of unmanned aerial systems to support transmission operations and infrastructure management. Thank you for the visit, Under Secretary Haustveit! #WeAreAEPTexas #AEPTexas

#UFCFreedom250 #UFC250 – at Washington, DC
UFC Freedom 250 is facing a chaotic weather setup on the White House South Lawn, with a 60% chance of thunderstorms, heavy downpours, and wind gusts up to 34 mph threatening to delay the outdoor fights. On top of the storm risk, brutal D.C. humidity is driving a triple-digit heat index alongside massive swarms of mosquitos and gnats that fighters will have to battle inside the cage. While the venue’s massive 92-foot overhang will keep the octagon dry, a single lightning strike within eight miles will trigger an automatic 30-minute freeze on the entire event.

This story is both absurd and totally false.
Like...every single thing about it is wrong and false.
The self-serving are working overtime today.
Let's see how they come out!

Wildly misleading and inaccurate headline by @wsj.
The FDA, as widely reported in public statements and court filings, launched a mifepristone safety review *months ago*.
Work continues on this Gold Standard Science study that will be rigorous and unassailable.
