It's pretty much a 100% perfect record at this point that the creepy/spooky people who raise the alarm about election interference, bots, disinformation, doxxing, etc, are the ones interfering in elections, using bots, spreading disinformation, and doxxing.

If you're curious why the media is spreading so much false information about the riots, consider: — The French Culture Ministry paid €204.7 million in direct aid to the news media in 2023, of which Le Monde received €8.3 million, L’Humanité €6.5 million and Libération €6.3 million — The @afpfr runs "fact-checks" in 26 languages, received €120 million from the French state in 2025, against €200.3 million in commercial revenue. @AFP is French government propaganda and disinformation — European governments are committed through a UN agreement to spread pro-mass migration propaganda by funding it directly. The “migration compact,” which 152 governments voted for in the UN General Assembly in 2018, commits them to “stopping allocation of public funding... to media outlets that systematically promote intolerance, xenophobia, racism and other forms of discrimination towards migrants," which is broadly interpreted to cover criticism of mass migration policies — To maintain control over news media, the European Commission funds a network of 15 fact-checking hubs with tens of millions of euros, and its rules require platforms to give priority to notices from “trusted flaggers.” — Governments fund think tanks to produce reports, including ones demanding censorship, that the news media cover sympathetically and editorialize in support of. — The @ISDglobal in London — which demands censorship of people it disagrees with on climate change, gender, and migration, refuses to speak with journalists, and lists a phony address — lists among its funders the British Foreign Office, the U.S. Departments of Homeland Security and Justice, the German Foreign Office and the European Commission, along with Google and Microsoft. isdglobal.org/partnerships-a… — Public reported in 2024 that ISD and the German fact-checker Correctiv, both government-funded, had spread false claims about German farmers and opposition politicians.

Whether Democrats take one or two houses of Congress, they and the media are about to pull off one of the most brilliant psychological operations in recent memory: convincing millions of swing voters they had moderated on trans. Talarico made national headlines when he went on Fox to say he would oppose trans athletes in girls’ sports “if it risks safety or fairness.” Four days later, a woman posing as a supporter secretly recorded him saying, “my position hasn’t changed,” after she asked him to defend her trans-identified nephew's ability to compete in girls' sports. The media buried or ignored it. On “60 Minutes,” El-Sayed called concerns over boys in girls’ sports a manufactured culture war issue meant to distract from high prices and said he was “not running to govern sports,” without ever saying he opposed it. Every Senate Democrat present, including Ossoff, voted in March 2025, and again in March 2026, to block legislation that would have banned males from female sports. Sherrod Brown cast the same vote in 2021 and 2024. Peltola cast it in the House in 2023. None since have promised to vote differently in the future. Meanwhile, Roy Cooper vetoed a bill that would have banned males in female sports, Josh Turek voted against Iowa’s 2025 health budget, which barred Medicaid from paying for surgeries or cross-sex hormones, and then ran an ad saying he is “against taxpayers paying for sex changes,” and Ed Markey made his support for transgenderism central to his campaign and defeated his moderate opponent Seth Moulton by 65% to 35% in the Massachusetts Senate primary. One can only appreciate how brilliant the Democrats/media psyop was when you consider that 71% of the public opposes trans medical procedures for minors and 79% oppose males in female sports. Even the share of Democrats who favor getting males out of female sports rose from 37% in 2022 to 45% in 2025, while the percentage of Democrats who believe changing one’s gender is morally acceptable declined 11 points between 2025 and 2026. Republicans spent at least $183 million on ads attacking the Democrats on trans, which is at least $30 million more than they spent at the same point in 2024. It wasn’t enough to overcome one of the Democrats’ most successful deception operations after over a decade of hugely consequential ones (e.g., Russiagate hoax, Charlottesville, BLM, Hunter Biden laptop, climate, Covid, etc.)

The Democratic candidates who could win back the Senate for their party appear to be abandoning transgenderism in sports and medicine. Democratic Senate nominee for Texas, James Talarico, said “Absolutely” when asked in September if he would ban gender surgery for minors. He added, “I will oppose trans athletes playing in girls’ sports if it risks safety or fairness…There are not six sexes. There are two.” Democratic Senate nominee for Ohio, Sherrod Brown, noted that, “In Ohio, it’s against the law to perform transgender surgeries on kids. That’s right, it’s illegal.” Iowa Democratic Senate candidate Josh Turek ran an ad last month where he noted that he is against males in female sports and that the state already bans them. “I’m against taxpayers paying for sex changes, too. Anyone who tells you any different is lying,” he said in the same ad. Democratic Senate candidate Amy Acton said in June, “I do not support boys playing in girls' sports. This is already settled law in Ohio, and as governor, I will enforce and uphold the law.” And Democratic Senate candidate for Alaska, Mary Peltola, said in 2024, “No, I don’t think that we should have men competing in women’s sports.” But there is less to these shifts than meets the eye. In September, a woman asked Talarico if he would defend her trans-identified nephew’s ability to compete against females in women’s sports, and Talarico said, “Always. The way I fought for trans kids in the legislature is how I will fight for them in the U.S. Senate… I think I have the most inclusive policy of any candidate who’s running.” CBS’s “60 Minutes” last night released an interview with Democratic Senate candidate for Michigan, Abdul El-Sayed. Correspondent Ross Douthat asked him about trans-identified males playing in female sports. El-Sayed was dismissive. “A lot of the culture war issues that get fought right now are about trying to distract us from the fact that we can’t afford our gas, can’t afford our groceries, can’t see a doctor, are worried about whether or not our kids are gonna have a good life. And instead, we’re out here talking about who gets to play what sport, which, you know, should be the question of the people who govern sports.” Others have similarly dodged the issue. Democratic Senate candidate for North Carolina, Roy Cooper, in 2023 vetoed a bill that would have banned males in female sports, Peltola voted against a House sports bill in that same year that would have banned males from female sports, called it “bullying” and “federal overreach,” and Democratic Senate candidate for Georgia, Jon Ossoff, has repeatedly voted against federal legislation to ban males from female sports.... teapawt.org/shellenberger/status/2… Please subscribe now to support our award-winning investigative reporting, debunking the mainstream media. teapawt.org/shellenberger/status/2…

Riots in Germany, declining property values in Portland, and South Africa's crumbling infrastructure all have distinct causes, say the media. In truth, they all have one root cause: left-wing policies and ideology. The media, for its part, is complicit in the grand deception.

The various governance crises around the world have different causes, say the news media. A downtown Portland hotel sold for $101 million less than it bought it for in 2016 due to “post-2020 pandemic impacts, slow tourism recovery, and high downtown office vacancies,” say reporters. French students are protesting severe teacher shortages, large class sizes, and neglected and dilapidated buildings, say journalists, while German students are rioting and looting in Frankfurt to protest living costs and military conscription, they say. And South Africa’s water and sewage infrastructure is collapsing due to a rising population, crime, and corruption, say the media. But left-wing policies and ideology are the underlying cause of each of those problems. The reason for Portland’s slow recovery and office vacancies compared to other cities is that the city and state’s soft-on-crime policies have made downtown Portland dangerous and unpleasant. Radical Left groups are behind the French and German riots. And the policies and ideology of the left-wing African National Congress (ANC) have undermined meritocracy and legitimized corruption in South Africa.... teapawt.org/shellenberger/status/2… Please subscribe now to support investigative journalism that changes the conversation and to read the rest of the article. teapawt.org/shellenberger/status/2…

JUST IN: Johannesburg, South Africa, is reportedly on the brink of a "total collapse" of its water system as worsening shortages leave residents without running water for weeks.

I enjoy reading the Stoics but a hard work-out does much more for one’s anxiety. What it apparently can’t solve is blind hatred of people you disagree with. If it could then Ryan wouldn’t have become the very thing he has sermonized against for 12 years
You must remember that all philosophy is a confession. People become obsessed with stoicism because they are naturally neurotic. That doesn’t mean stoicism can’t help you. If you are neurotic, it will help you a lot. Marcus Aurelius was neurotic. But it does mean you need to update your mental model of “this stoic guru will be stoic” to “this stoic guru will be neurotic.” Thinking the DailyStoic guy must be mentally stable is like thinking someone on anti-depressants must not be depressed.

Haters gonna hate
Replying to @shellenberger
Stoicism is one of the West’s most influential philosophical traditions, and author Ryan Holiday is its greatest advocate. And so, when he says that Ivanka Trump’s praise of Marcus Aurelius is “as cringe as it possibly gets, because it’s not real and it’s totally missing the point,” anyone who cares about Stoicism should pay attention. While Ivanka’s quotation of Marcus, on how “the soul becomes dyed the color of its thoughts,” reproduces the sentence accurately, explains Holiday, she fails to live up to the philosophy because she has not, in his terms, staged “an intervention with your dad whose life would be dyed with his horrible, negative, mean bullying thoughts all the time.” But what Holiday demands of Ivanka contradicts the stoic philosophy he claims to teach. “A man must know many things first,” wrote Marcus Aurelius in Book 11, “before he be able truly and judiciously to judge of another man’s action.” And yet Holiday does not entertain the possibility that Ivanka has thought carefully about her relationship to her father, that she has considered and rejected the path of public denunciation, or that her loyalty might itself reflect a moral commitment. Instead, he assumes that her silence about her father proves her unethical. Donald Trump’s tweets, his rallies, his rhetorical style, and his political career are not Ivanka’s to control. The very first sentence of Stoic Epictetus’s Handbook says, “Some things are in our control and others not. Things in our control are opinion, pursuit, desire, aversion, and, in a word, whatever are our own actions. Things not in our control are body, property, reputation, command, and, in one word, whatever are not our own actions...” teapawt.org/shellenberger/status/2… Please subscribe now to support Public's award-winning investigative journalism, read the rest of the article, and watch the full video! teapawt.org/shellenberger/status/2…

Support for the most radical censorship bill in the West is 100% fake, paid for by the corrupt @AlboMP and his billionaire backer, Twiggy Forrest, who takes hundreds of millions a year of taxpayer money. They’re desperate to censor critics who correctly point out that their policies put the financial interests of China ahead of the security and prosperity of the Australian people.
Australia bet big on hydrogen made from renewables and lost billions. Now, one of Australia's largest miners may soon cut production and jobs. The cause was a set of catastrophic decisions by Labor leaders and Fortescue's founder, Andrew "Twiggy" Forrest.

Rather than confront unpleasant realities, Twiggy Forrest has long sought to silence his critics. It makes sense that he’s now demanding government censorship. He’s going to need a lot of it to cover up the catastrophic impact of his delusions.

So spooky
Online misogyny causes sexual violence, say governments. But the science doesn't support such claims. Now, a new investigation reveals that mining titan Twiggy Forrest, who receives millions in subsidies, spent millions to pass censorship legislation.
