Tell me where I am wrong about the merger.. Isn’t it pretty much impossible for SpaceX to overpay for Tesla? Whatever number they agree on, the market is just going to reprice the whole thing afterward based on what people actually think the combined company is worth. And if someone’s thinking “yeah but what about everyone dumping Tesla right after the deal is announced, before it closes?” That kind of probably takes care of itself too. Plenty of people will want to lock in the quick gain and sell, so you get selling pressure. There’s usually a decent discount to the deal price as well. Those two things keep it from getting too out of hand.
