I’m at Kim Lavoie’s distinguished scientist master lecture and this was such a fun slide!! #SBM1997 #SBM2025 @BehavioralMed

So glad I caught @yueliao (fellow @uscreachlab @uscpphs alum) before the poster session so I could ask for advice about how to write my job application materials given our similar grad school experiences!! #mentorship #SBM2025

Really great presentation from @glassybrain that provides further evidence that EMA response time is a measure we should be collecting as it can be a proxy for cognition #SAA2024 (supports hypotheses about attention too! much slower or faster than usual-> careless responding??)

What an honor to have this panel with leaders in the field (Arthur Stone, Ulrich Ebner-Priemer, Tim Trull, Josh Smyth) discussing our practices and assumptions #SAA2024 @SAAscience

I love a relevant talk with an ominous title @DejonckheerEgon #SAA2024 If you pay participants they will give you data 🤑 but sometimes compensation is not feasible or ethical and there is uncertainty about the quality of the data…

This is such a cool study and I can’t read the final publication!! I were a participant I would probably save all my coins for a daily fun fact and I am so interested to see the engagement with the coin store #SAA2024

To advance prior research @LauraMKoenig explored if reactivity occurs less if participants had prior PA tracking experience and if the effect more pronounced if research observation is emphasized (will participants ~do their best~ to support the research) #SAA2024

Reactivity may not occur (as strongly) in experienced PA trackers so we should assess and control for prior experience in our studies! Emphasizing observation has small effects on steps! Potential for looking at interaction effects and other future manipulations #SAA2024

The introductions of these talks are all so comprehensive! @DrDaniArigo brings up the good point that with PA research we often are collecting intensive data only to aggregate it… so there is a high impact of measurement reactivity as it leads to inaccurate estimates #SAA2024

In a way we have done too good of a job communicating to women that physical activity is beneficial and they want to do a good job for researchers 😕 #SAA2024

Memory lapses is a really unique example of measurement reactivity! I’ve never considered how self report of cognitive problems could be controversial due to bias and sensitization of monitoring memory problems‼️ + I appreciate @JacquieMog showing the daily item used! #SAA2024

I was completely enamored with the measurement in ILD talks & forgot to take photos! I will definitely be reaching out to @LeonieVogelsm to collaborate and discuss how to further analyze my careless responding/EMA dissertation data! #SAA2024

Curious if the average response is 2 if we are already asking participants to rate their affect compared to their average #SAA2024

This meeting is my annual reminder that if studying abroad was an option for graduate school I would have done a semester at @KU_Leuven!! Koen Niemeijer created various predictive models using sensing data for emotion detection (they did not do that well 🫤) #SAA2024

Disappointed that we won’t be able to ask Dr. Poulton questions because I have been looking for a way to do ambulatory assessment of executive function but I will definitely be checking out CheckCog (and thinking of strategies to improve compliance)! #SAA2024
