When making a submission supposedly to help shape the direction, I’ve felt the need to say what most of us feel. #politas

If you are around the Orange region of NSW, then we need you to head along to this free event at Orange City Bowling Club on October 24 from 1pm and let members of the NSW Labor backbench know how badly NSW Labor has gotten it wrong on the gun laws.
Tickets can be obtained here:

Remember: Your voice matters, and going to speak (respectfully!) with MPs in person is a much more powerful thing - and harder to ignore - than just making a comment on their social media pages.
This is absolutely massive news and a testament to just how much work the NSW Firearms Law Repeal Working Group (of which we are proud to be members) and @sffAustralia have been doing. 🧵
Some expectation management is in order, though: This does NOT, on its own, automatically suspend or repeal the laws, or stop the buyback from going ahead. The inquiry may very well recommend that (and we certainly hope it does!), though.

As president of @ShootersUnion Tas I wrote and provided every member of the parliament in December 2025 a comprehensive Bill to allow game meat donations through 2 pathways of unregulated and regulated donation. #politas #taspol The fact not a single member of parliament has tabled this bill shows how little they care about getting on with job @TasLiberal
As president of @ShootersUnion Tasmania I have sent out a draft template Bill to all members of parliament to allow game meat donations.

$25,000 to "compensate" millions in losses for these dealers is beyond an insult.
The government is willfully dismantling our firearms industry.

NSW's new gun laws are putting illegal gun laws on the street. The amnesty - designed to get unlawful guns out of circulation - is collapsing thanks to Government policies.

NSW's new laws and buyback take the first kind. With the amnesty collapsing, the second kind - illegal firearms - are no longer coming off the street.
This affects EVERY SINGLE NSW RESIDENT.
