If you tell Jack Drury he's playing against one of his old teams every night he might be a 30-goal scorer.

The Jets were like “if Xhekaj scores on THAT then so be it.”

It would be awesome if the entire stadium collectively flipped off the team on their way out of the tunnel for the second half.

Ashby is deserving of a special entrance that’s reserved for closers.

The Calgary game wasn’t the one I had earmarked as the regulation loss in this Canes road swing.

It was a lineup of Craig Counsells. I’m pretty sure Navarez even played the infield at one point.

I can think of the “similar to Mercer” player but don’t want to say it.

Pierre LeBrun on ''Aux 4 coins de la LNH'' (french show) about Carolina: The Stanley Cup champions, who had a lot of interest in Connor Hellebuyck, but according to my sources, they weren’t willing to pay a certain price. The Jets wanted a young forward from the core, someone a bit like Dawson Mercer, but perhaps even better than Dawson Mercer, whom they’d acquired from New Jersey. I don’t know exactly who that would have been from Carolina, but it could have been either Stankoven or Seth Jarvis. Obviously, the Hurricanes weren’t willing to do that. - 20/23 #CarolinaCulture #GoJetsGo #NJDevils #NHL

Kind of reminds me of the Meier trade where SJ wanted Jarvis. You’re not trading Stankoven or Blake and the next closest player is probably Nadeau. Everyone else is either too old or Jesperi Kotkaniemi.

He is a mid complementary playmaker going to a team loaded with 8 versions of that.

Mercer's a pretty good playmaker, even if he's not elite. Wonder how he stacks up to the rest of the Jets forwards. *opens tab* Holy crap.

I think every Devils fan in my mentions has wanted to get rid of Mercer for two years.

Jackson Blake hauling ass to get McDavid, Ghost intercepting a breakaway, Walker ending an offensive zone shift on cement legs. Just great stuff.
