I DON'T SUPPORT LMM JOINT RALLIES WITH THE UNITED OPPOSITION. Let us stop pretending that every political arrangement is beneficial to LMM. Some of these people are not interested in building our party; they are interested in using our numbers, our leader and our growing influence to advance their own political interests. LMM IS A NEW BABY. BADO HAJAKUA! We have only held our first rally. Bado tunafaa kurudi Kitengela as LMM, build our structures, mobilise our supporters and aggressively market our party. Sasa ni nini haraka ya joint rallies? Ask a simple question: How many people will attend that rally wearing LMM merchandise? Very few. Meanwhile, those with financial muscle will flood the venue with their branding, their merchandise and their political identity. By the time the rally ends, whose influence will have grown? Whose party will have gained visibility? And whose identity will have been swallowed? THIS IS HOW SMALL PARTIES LOSE THEIR IDENTITY BEFORE THEY EVEN BECOME BIG. We cannot afford to be political spectators in arrangements where we should be building our own political empire. LMM must not become somebody else's foot soldiers while our own party struggles for visibility. Let us be honest: You cannot build a house by continuously advertising your neighbour's mansion. LMM must stand on its own feet, build its own structures, hold its own rallies and establish its own political identity. Coalition politics can wait. Party building cannot. TUJENGE LMM.
