3rd place at the Orlando Riftbound Showdown. I’ve been looking at this picture for the past 2 days. I wasn’t supposed to be at this event. I didn’t have a ticket. Khazix was mostly untested, and nobody expected it to be capable of topping. So happy to give the deck hope.

Finished day 1 of the Orlando showdown 7-0. Brought khazix not even expecting to play. No ticket til Wednesday. I am completely overwhelmed looking at this. I recorded everything vlog style and will post the videos later.

I’m really confused by hidden cards in riftbound. It almost feels like they were meant to be costed a power to be able to play at reaction speed for their normal cost. Not for free… like some of them are so insanely strong for just 1 power cost. The mechanic itself is weird.

Fine. I have seen morde lists and theyre annoying me. I was going to try to play this in Orlando but I still have not secured a ticket. There are a lot of "staples" missing, and that's because when you played them in morde you asked why you werent playing another deck.

Also with the new ruling, yes I would probably try to fit in a flame chomper. It might replace the shen slot in testing, as shen is a combat trick blowout card. It could be almost anything depending on meta needs. Could be a tracker for rengars. Could be another spell. It's flex.

The main idea of the deck is to go wide, abuse rage amp efficiency. Use your combat tricks to swing 1 or 2 combats, and close the game out with dunebreaker/vi/morde yellow. You can and will lose games. The deck is still mid tier, but this build did very well in testing.
