My family & I recently visited the beautiful country of Japan. In our journey through the serene city of Kyoto, my husband & I had the opportunity to be introduced to Yushin-Ryu, a katana yielding martial art ⚔️
Under the instruction of Yushin Sensei, Osayo Senpai, & Shogo, we were fully immersed into the art. We learned about the history of the Samurai art, the philosophy, & basic drawing, defending & attacking techniques. The profound knowledge, patience, & passion for Yushin-Ryu displayed by our instructors was awe-inspiring. We are deeply humbled by the kindness & generosity in sharing this extraordinary martial art with us 🙏🏼
To the enlightening practice of Yushin-Ryu, our instructors: Yushin Sensei, Osayo Senpai, Shogo, & to everyone else we met in Kyoto, どうもありがとうございました. We are truly grateful. My husband & I are looking forward to continuing our training in this beautiful art 🌸🥋

I did some testing and found that adding color to 3D printed photographs is possible! My thought was to add the color by painting the back of the lithophanes and I was surprised by the results. Check out the color lithophane below.

When I found out about this technique, known as #lithophane #photography, I had to test the limits. Here is one of my projects, a lithophane lamp. The best part is you can do this with a regular FDM printer.

Wireless charging, automatic low battery sensing, and dock location sensing to find its way back to the charging station, sound like good options for Bittle 2.0 😃. Also, how about a dedicated iOS/android app? So many possibilities.

Why settle with 1 computer screen when you can have up to 360° screen coverage using VR? After trying out various apps, I settled with @ImmersedVR. The low latency & capability to track a physical keyboard, makes this app stand out above the rest.

Here is a modification to get your Bittle to charge wirelessly! Now, Bittle can have his own sleeping area. I also created a new pose for Bittle to go to sleep and have his belly touch the charging pad.

I searched for a wireless charging receiver that would be small enough to fit within the dimensions of the battery. Here is the one I used: amazon.com/dp/B08DKY2ZP5/ref…
To charge, I looked for a wireless charging pad that would be thin enough for the robot to walk over and fit between the legs. I chose this charging pad: amazon.com/dp/B08BF91BWW/ref…
If you don’t have the bone for Bittle, I found that you can still mount the MU Vision sensor by clipping it behind the teeth of Bittle and having the lower mouth bite the bottom part of the wifi module. It’s held steady for me.

Continuing with teaching my robot dog, Bittle, new tricks. I’ve modified the code and integrated the smart vision sensor to recognize hand gestures. Now, you can wave to Bittle and he can wave back! Check out what else he can do in the video.
