How much do you think you need to retire on in Australia these days? For people who have: - worked hard their whole lives - paid taxes their whole lives - invested wisely - saved for their retirement Now the broke federal Labor government is overtly going after them via grabbing at their superannuation. The irony is these same people - after paying so much other tax - were encouraged to contribute to their Super funds because it was tax advantageous to do so. Given the strict rules & regulations around Superannuation this often inhibited further optimisation of wealth creation. But the tax outcomes were supposed to make that sacrifice worth it. How deeply shameful. Once again this socialist government is penalising those who strive to get ahead & create success.
