@MSpring_VT’s nifty new paper out in @SfNJournals shows that serotonin sizzles to reward! It encodes value - objective and subjective in the DMS. It also increases in anticipation of a reward and to a cue that predicts a reward.

I'm so excited to share my very first project, now available to view as a preprint on biorxiv! We find that NAc ACh activity mediates flexibility of sign-tracking response structures during a contingency change. biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
#SfN22 was a success! Thank you to everyone who stopped by. And thank you to the Nautiyal Lab members, and specifically my wonderful PI @KateNautiyal, for their support. Onward!

We made a mouse brain transparent using a clearing method, which will allow us to create a “3D” map of DA projections! Thank you to the photonics department of ASRC for helping us 3D print the chamber! #neuroscience #clearbrain @asrc_gc @susana_mingote
