After a break of over three (3) whopping years, to celebrate the lead dev's birthday, there is a new devlog entry! It has to do with the biggest thing in the project this year, TESTING. Which was GREAT! We've got some good news and some bad news. amazement.fi/sixt/devlog/

Since March 2020 we've been banging our heads in the wall to create the demo for this amazing game and FINALLY that blasted door is caving in! We're soon releasing a build for trusted testers and the public release is on the horizon after the summer. Exciting times!

As a kid, the many sudden deaths in #SierraOnline #pointandclick #adventure #games felt ridiculous, insane or even infuriating! But now, as a middle-aged chap, I actually find myself relating to some of these.

Is there anything more delightful than randomly finding a Monkey Island 2 graffiti near your home (in Helsinki, Finland)? Especially one of such a minor character that you really need to know it. Simply wonderful!

Told my 7-year-old that my t-shirt refers to a scene from Monkey 2 (we're still on Mêlée on SoMI). - Is there a Monkey 3? - Yeah. - Monkey 4? - Yeah... - Monkey 10? - No. - Monkey 5 and 6? - Yeah. - Whoa. - But 3 and 4 are fan games, the creator had nothing to do with them. - Ok.

Only now came across this. Normally, I don't take kindly to mixing different sized pixels or having 3D or camera zooming in an adventure game, but I gotta say... THIS... is... AWESOME! The sense of depth achieved while still properly maintaining the 2D aesthetic is incredible.

So, should any true #retro #pointandclick #adventuregame actually come with an elaborate MS-DOS startup file setup simulator, preferably with slight variations required each time the game is run? 😈

Fellow #pointandclick #adventuregame #indie #gamedev's and #gamers, what are your thoughts on having moral choices affect gameplay and the player's journey? Do you like such choices (that also give the game some replayability) or would you rather have one story to go through?
