Sad; hypocritical Dems wanting to torpedo Haspel’s bid to be CIA chief on “moral grounds” surrounding use of enhanced interrogation techniques .... while totally defending late-term abortions! Terrorists have no rights, the unborn do! Is there anything less moral than terrorism?
Right, Hillary, those of us deplorables in the red fly-over states are just too racist, sexist xenophobic and backward-thinking to recognize you as the obvious choice for president. Fact is, I would have voted for the neighbor’s dog before throwing away a vote on you! Get a grip!
Did that crazy has-been, the so-called champion of women, just actually suggest that she lost the election because women are too stupid to think for themselves and vote following the dictates of husbands, bosses, sons or any other male in the area? Amazing!
So, while we delay a solution debating gun control, background checks, buying age and mental health on the national stage, what can we do RIGHT NOW to mitigate the school shooting problem? Here’s a great idea, finally been given some rightful consideration: #armtheteachers
Very disappointing. Cowardly leadership at Delta Air Lines (from whence I retired) just severed ties with the NRA - a hollow, feel-good gesture which will have NO effect on school shooting problem while lending credence to the false notion that the NRA is the villain here. Sad!
Gotta’ hand it to the anti-gun liberals, trotting out high school students - survivors of the FL school shooting - to parrot their talking points. Brilliant move! Hope the “don’t treat me like I’m stupid” public can see through the usury and intellectual dishonesty of this ploy.
Nothing but contempt for politicians using deaths of children to help advance their gun control agenda, while suggesting NOTHING that will have an impact on the actual problem of how we keep our kids safe in school. Need it tomorrow, not when their misguided laws may take effect.
As if ANY of those things would have one iota of impact on the problem of mass shootings. These knee-jerk reactions and canned talking points are almost comically predictable. How about, for a change, an original thought, tied to a plan that might actually work!
Just listened to FL state senator Gary Farmer .... another kool aid drinker from the left. His idea of “common sense” gun reforms include an outright “assault weapons” (inaccurate term, by the way) ban, limiting magazine capacity and, get this, a national gun registry! ..cont..
Remove guns from our society; where would you even start? Repeal the 2nd Amendment? Good luck! Become the sheep of Australia & Britain and turn them all in? Never gonna’ happen in USA! Outlaw certain types of firearms? Criminal killers DON’T follow the law! Silly politicians!
So, limiting capacity of any firearms magazine to 10 rounds is the answer? Does that mean that 10 dead students is an acceptable body count? If we’re limited to single-shot muskets does that mean that one dead student is ok? Politicians wasting time with fallacious arguments!
Seriously, I think most politicians are loathsomely idiotic! Change gun laws? Throw millions into the mental health system? What immediate difference will it make? While we wait for new, likely ineffective laws to make it through congress and the courts our kids will keep dying.
Greatest threats to our students are denial & complacency. The safest community in the country remains that way only by chance! Yes, people, the unthinkable CAN happen where you live, even in the school your children attend. When will you wake up to the obvious solution?
GUNS! GUNS! GUNS! People, wise up! Guns are NOT the problem. The problem is BAD GUYS with guns allowed to enter our schools. Save well-worn talking points on both sides of the aisle. When will true leadership emerge, on any level, to do what must be done? New laws NOT the answer!
It’s the morning of Saturday, 17 February 2018, 3 days after school shooting in Parkland, FL. After years of avoiding Twitter have just opened this account to address the renewed lunacy surrounding this issue. Damn it; enough is enough! Time for SERIOUS inquiry into a solution!
