Do we know for sure this is surrogacy and not adoption by 2 gay men?
Both should be banned. We should be seeking the ideal for all children and two fathers is not it.
The Equality Act should be scrapped if this is a consequence. It's not progress. @reformparty_uk @ZiaYusufUK

Mary-Ann Stephenson of the @EHRC is now claiming that "trans activists are wrong" and that trans people are protected from discrimination in law. That is true to some extent, but:
Perhaps tell that to Dr Cal Horton, fleeing the UK because of transphobia, saying things have got much worse since the SCJ and EHRC CoP.
or
Dr Beth Upton forced to leave the UK because of transphobia - hounded by the media, who were quite happy to protect a disgusting racist while doing so.
or
Dr Vicky McCloud, a former High Court judge, again quit the UK because of transphobia and now lives in Ireland - she says things are much worse now too.
or
Emily Brothers, a blind GRC holding trans woman who was recently banned from putting her bum on a seat at a conference purely because she is transgender.
or
The circa 600 members of Unison, all of whom say they have been impacted.
or
The circa 3000 discrimination cases recorded by TransActual.
or
The 500 Girlguiding volunteers reported by @guardian who were leaving because it was no longer inclusive.
or
The hundreds of WI branches that closed down, citing the same reasons as Girlguiding.
And where was the EHRC during all of this mayhem?
Nowhere.

This is an anti-trans activist, somehow blaming trans people for an ATA mob attacking a cis woman for failing to look feminine enough to pass their transvestigation.
This is gender critical ideology.

Not a trans woman or a drag queen.
To all the mainstream media outlets, social media accounts and politicians who called my husband a rapist and a marital rape apologist: Don't even bother deleting your posts or comments. We've recorded every vile, defamatory lie, down to the very last troll comment, and we're going to bankrupt every single one of you. See you in court.

Ahh...so @KishwerFalkner admits to bias and to fostering a climate of exclusion?
Who would have guessed?
For goodness sake, don't let her near the EHRC - they have the obligation to promote Public Service Equality Duty (PSED), which includes inclusion.

TransLucent sent FOI requests to every single council and hospital trust (covering millions of people) for *5 years*.
In half a decade: 4 complaints were made about trans people. That’s right: 4.
Yet, the government have eroded trans rights to appease fearmongering transphobes.
444 FOI Requests, 4+ Years: The Real Data on Single-Sex Spaces.
Over the past 4+ years, the debate about trans women accessing single-sex spaces (such as hospital wards, public toilets, and changing rooms) has dominated the headlines and policy discussions.
But when we set aside the culture-war rhetoric, what do the real data from public service providers show?
TransLucent has been seeking answers for nearly five years.
Since 2021, TransLucent has conducted seven comprehensive Freedom of Information investigations.
We submitted 444 FOI requests to public bodies across the UK - including 180 NHS acute and mental health trusts, all 62 unitary authorities, and the 50 largest local councils - covering tens of millions of people.
We asked one straightforward question: How many complaints have you received about trans women using female single-sex spaces?
Of the 444 requests sent over nearly five years, more than 98% of responding public bodies reported receiving zero complaints.
Across all councils and hospital trusts surveyed, we found just four complaints - 4 complaints in nearly FIVE YEARS
One involved a minor inpatient issue at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, which wasn’t escalated beyond the initial stage.
One was a single complaint in York.
One in Sheffield was based on perception rather than fact.
That’s four recorded complaints over nearly five years, spanning healthcare facilities and local government services for tens of millions of people.
The evidence consistently shows that official data does not support claims of widespread or systemic issues in these spaces.
Good policy starts with good data, and @TransLucent_Org will keep tracking this information as structures and guidance evolve, because evidence matters.

Everything about TERFism centres around putting women ‘back in their place’ and promoting regressive and highly conservative gender stereotypes.

Some jobs are more suitable for women, some more suitable for men. Some jobs put children and women at risk if done by men and vice versa e.g. childminding, firefighting. But the sexes are still equal and when sex isn't relevant it shouldn't be a consideration.

Wow. Over 4 years there were… four complaints.
However, the UK has still torn up trans rights and ruined the lives of thousands of people for only 4 complaints in for years.
The media and hatefluencers drove this based on ideology and not reality,

Threatening to lower a girl's grade if her personal medical information isn't handed over to the school is disgusting.
There is absolutely no reason for schools to maintain menstrual cycle information on students. It's creepy, disturbing, and discriminatory.
High school requires girls to disclose their menstrual cycle—or lose a grade.
Parents must send a note in writing to gym teacher with "suspected length of their cycle."
If female student does not participate—it will result in "loss of points toward final grade."
Students who bring in the required note from their parents will then be required to complete "dry land" exercises—to make up for the missed swimming.
"For sure against privacy for the young ladies that are going to class," said a parent.
"And they shouldn't have a grade reduction."
Lakeview High School says they plan to "engage parents in a conversation" about the new policy.
The school is located in St. Clair Shores, Michigan.
