Remembered why Gold Frame was so broken in Gundam Seed Battle Assault. If you do the command grab and cancel out of it with Seed mode then you can jump and just spam the harpoon attack. Did this when I was a teenager. Lol

Yes. T8 failed because it went overboard making everyone too strong and Heat too powerful of a mechanic. There's too many overtuned moves that accomplish too many things and not enough clear weaknesses in a characters gameplay.

people who like older tekkens but hate tekken 8. was there a way for them to try new things and keep it fresh without “ruining” the game? if so, what would that actually look like? or would you have liked tekken 8 to basically just be the older tekkens but with better graphics?

Also if you're going to incorporate additional mechanics to the characters then it should be unique. Instead 8 adds stances and installs to a bunch of characters with zero regard for their gameplay identity.
