My PhD thesis viva voce is approaching and I'm looking for words of advice and encouragement. My Mum told me, "Don't forget to breathe!" which I think is pretty good advice.
Iām very happy to announce that today I started working as a Cell Culture Technician with an amazing company š„°
I relate to this. My Mum left school at 12 to work, married at 19, first kid at 20. My Dad left school at 14 and fixed car bodies (extremely well) for nearly 50 years. They both worked so hard and Iām glad I can take care of them now.

Happiness is when your PhD supervisor still texts you to tell you that they are proud of you. It has been 8 years since I finished my PhD but she continues to be my mentor and source of positivity to date. Academia needs such people, let's be those peopleš¤
I got an interview for a post-doc position in my home town which I am REALLY excited about! š¤©
