Been out of town for 2 months due to the passing of my father. He grew up in Oklahoma and he was disgusted by what #dallas had become. He remembered a vibrant clean city that was safe and a beacon of capitalism. Sad that this is where we are now.

The mayor of Santa Ana, California is out with police officers confronting the homeless. The homeless are offered services including treatment and shelter, if they refuse they go to jail
THIS is how it should be
“I'm the mayor of the city of Santa Ana. I'm out this morning with Santa Ana PD, with our QOLT team, our Quality of Life team, Teen Challenge, Salvation Army and what we're doing here today is we're working with those that are homeless on our streets.
We're offering them services, whether it's detox, a shelter, a program. And if they refuse all the services, then they end up going to jail. And why are we doing that again? We do this every single month. And why? Because Santa Ana deserves a good quality of life, just like all the other cities around us, and I always say that.

Tonight in the slums a Methanie smoking meth or crack couldn’t tell at HYA. I would say that 80% of the problem with this neighborhood originates at this apartment complex. 10% of it comes from the apartments next to the HYA apartments. They are managed by Perry Guest. The drug dealers live at the Perry Guest apartments and people at HYA are the drug users and cause most of the crime in this neighborhood. The city is well aware of these properties, and I was told by a lieutenant @DallasPD that they have repeatedly asked @CityofDallasD14 @ridleyfordallas to shut them down. Obviously @CityOfDallas doesn’t give a shit. My last contact with @ridleyfordallas was about this property, where he told me it was a civil matter, and to take it up with the court. That was five years ago.
