Volk took 9 months off between the Diego fights and another 9 months before the Movsar fight. Makh took 9 months off between the JDM and Garry fight and will likely be off 9-10 months between the Garry fight and his next one. Quite literally the same timeline
🤔Michael Bisping praises Alex Volkanovski while criticising Islam Makhachev for avoiding fights
"He's a fighter's fighter [on Volk]. He steps up. He stays busy. He's not one of these guys doing an Islam, fighting once a year and then picking and choosing who he fights and letting contenders face one another"
🚨🔵🔴 HERE WE GO! Arman Tsarukyan to FC Barcelona, deal done! 🇦🇲🤝
Full agreement reached between all parties as the UFC lightweight star joins the Catalan giants in a sensational move.
Joan Laporta played a key role in making the deal happen. All documents signed, official announcement expected soon.
🗣️ Arman Tsarukyan: “Thank you Joan Laporta and FC Barcelona for the warm welcome! Happy to be part of one of the greatest soccer clubs ever.”
HERE WE GO! 💣
What the UFC should do next:
- Give Gaethje and Volkanovski a legacy fight at 155. Both retire after that.
- Same card: Ilia Topuria vs Paddy Pimblett
- Arman Tsarukyan will get his title shot against the winner of Topuria vs. Pimblett for the vacant lightweight title.

The Islam Makhachev hate is so forced it’s actually pathetic. He’s somehow ducking a fight that was never official 2 months after he last fought?
Days since UFC champions last fought for their title:
Kayla Harrison - 504 days
Tom Aspinall - 324 days (until vacating)
Petr Yan - 322 days
Alexander Volkanovski - 266 days
Carlos Ulberg - 196 days
Sean Strickland - 168 days (refusing to fight)
Justin Gaethje - 132 days (retirement?)
Ciryl Gane - 132 days
Islam Makhachev - 70 days
Mackenzie Dern - 70 days
Joshua Van - 35 days
Joshua Van is the only champion who’s defended his belt more recently than Islam but these fans don’t keep the same energy
Morales didn’t fight for one year but they want the champion and current biggest star to fight again after 4 months 🤔
Morales didn't fight for a year. Prates didn't fight for 5-6 months, Bec both of them believe they should be next in line, but Prates expects Islam to turn around 3 months for him.
Both Prates & Morales could've fought under the same card of Islam/Ian, but they didn't.
