Promotion / Relegation soccer is finally coming to America
Starting January of next year, the USL will start its first season with a pyramid structure between its 3 leagues, USL Premier (Division One), USL Championship (Division Two), and USL League One (Division Three), allowing the best performing teams to move their way up in place of teams that finish at the bottom of the league above them
Exciting, no doubt about it. A lot of risk being taken here by those involved, but it should be interesting at the very least to see how the stakes at hand impact the product on the field and the excitement level of each match
A new look. A shared ambition. One United Soccer League.
Rooted in communities across the country. Connected by our love of the game. United by the belief that soccer belongs to everyone.
