Great day for Pakistan sports today
Men's football team beat Maldives 3-0 in SAFF
U19 cricket team beat India in the Asia Cup. Great comeback victory.
U17 football team with a 3-1 win vs Sri Lanka in AFC qualifiers. Brilliant comeback by the boys.
Still baffles me how Abdullah Fazal got dropped, no doubt Sameer is a great talent and might be one of the best players in the upcoming future, but Abdullah Fazal has been consistent in domestic, hit 2 50s in his first ever test tour.
Ahmed Hussain is NOT an ODI player, he is a test player, needs to work on his ability to rotate strike and hit the big shots, was very wasteful today whilst being one of the seniors in the U19 team.
3-0 against Maldives today to qualify for the SAFF knockouts. Mind you this is our B team, majority of the players weren’t able to join since the International break isn’t on. SOLANO has changed this team, he deserves so much credit.

Hamza Zahoor is developing a habit of delivering clutch performances for Pakistan at the U19 level. He has already played three such innings:
- 68* off 51 vs Afghanistan U19: Came in at 135/5, with Pakistan later reduced to 201/9. Guided Pakistan to a one-wicket win while chasing 227.
- 86 off 65 vs England U19: Came in at 124/5. Pakistan finished on 300/9 while chasing 303, losing by just 2 runs.
- 100* off 108 vs India U19: Came in at 61/5 while chasing 209 and stayed unbeaten to guide Pakistan to a three-wicket win.

This was painful to watch but hey at least Najeebullah and Alamgir Ghazi scored late.
Pakistan now need a result against Maldives on 8 Nov to have any chance to reach SAFF Championship 2026 semfinals.

Halloween is more fun if you’re not religious, or a muslim or you just slouch at home the entire day, personally I have never “celebrated” Halloween and will always prefer Eid but it’s not a comparison moreso a personal opinion.
