Thank you so much! This is exactly why I LOVE Emma?? 😭 I loved her as a villain and even more when she redeemed herself. But it is her journey that makes her compelling. I love me a complicated character and I love her flaws even now as a hero. It makes her human. 💛

Emma being a victim does not absolve her of also being an abuser and the fact that she was a villain is what makes her arc as a hero so interesting. She has one of the best redemption arcs in fiction and you want to erase it because your mind can’t comprehend the cycle of abuse?

Also I don't think op wanted to erase Emma's villain arc they just didn't seem to want it focused on. But tbh kinda get more invested when I see the villain phase in a character and then redeems herself. Maybe ppl might not like WATXM but I adored her and cried for her there. 😭
