"...Shark Tank investor Kevin O’Leary claimed that golf courses use more water than data centers. In his new book, The Sustainable Sport, highly regarded golf course architect Forrest Richardson challenges that claim with evidence of golf’s ecological merits, social value, and economic benefits."

The algae bloom at the @NationalMallNPS's Lincoln Memorial has people talking.
How are your ponds and water features looking this season?
We partnered with the Environmental Engineering Laboratory at Universidad Nacional de Colombia (#UNAL) to evaluate Pond Kleen—our 100% U.S.-manufactured biological solution designed to support healthier ponds / water features on golf courses.

Pond Kleen introduces beneficial bacteria and enzymes that help break down excess organic matter, support a balanced pond ecosystem, and naturally improve water quality by feeding the beneficial microbes already at work.

Did you know?
Turf managers know Armorex as a nematicide. What many don't realize - is that it has demonstrated efficacy against multiple pests, including bermudagrass mites, white grubs, chinch bugs, & mole crickets.

Soil Tech’s biological products are a step in the same direction for Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program GC participants.
Note: a few of our products may help keep pests off the turf, but we make NO promises about the “manimals” roaming the course. We just help where we can.
Approximately 2,000 golf courses participate in the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program, which helps them protect and enhance the environment at their facility. #GoGolf

At 100 years old, WWII veteran Bernie Smoot still drives his convertible Ford Mustang to play golf five days a week, shoots in the low 80s and shares wisdom from 74 years in the game: “You live to play golf. But to reach my age, you play golf to live.”
To celebrate Bernie — who landed at Omaha Beach just months after graduating high school — his PGA Coach and friend Jeff Maynor organized a tournament in his honor at the University of Maryland Golf Course, where Bernie plays five days a week.
Maynor, the course’s PGA Director of Golf, has run a @PGAHOPE program there for Veterans since 2019, which Bernie loves to support. The tournament for Bernie was a chance for those Veterans to thank him and celebrate his love for the game.
A huge thank you to @GRTSTurfSupply for inviting us to their Roots to Reels Turf Summit. Lots of excellent discussion amongst some of our industry's top turf professionals. Thanks to the teams @WhitneyOaks GC and TPC Monterey at Pasadera for doing a phenomenal job hosting us.

We just read a @FerretScot article: tinyurl.com/Sheep-on-the-Fai… about @MachDunes - where sheep are features. Minimal inputs, maximum character. Sustainable golf is already here.
Big thanks to @NEnursery for hosting us at #nertc26, and shoutout to @NE_RTF for organizing a great event. A great time was had by all!
