Well noted, @CleanHeatEurope. Progress in #heating & #cooling has been relevant (mainly due to Clean Energy Package, as implementation of Fit-for-55 is in progress). Still, recent trends (part of 2023 and 2024) are concerning and require action. #RenewableEnergy #HeatIsHalf
🌱Renewable heating and cooling hit 26.2% in 2023, exceeding the annual growth targets!
But 74% of 🔥 and ❄️still come from fossil fuels, compared to 28% in the⚡sector.
We need a higher share of clean heat to lower prices and boost competitiveness.

The article below should state EU #solarPV industry. It's a common misunderstanding, to take the part (solar #photovoltaics) for the whole (solar energy). In the case of #SolarHeat we see several EU manufacturers increasing their production capacity to face increased demand.

It's essential to remember that there are other solutions needed in parallel that also complement electrification. If we don't look into such synergies, including #solarheat, not even the doubling of the grid will suffice.
