Soledad Miranda

#soledadmiranda in a rare French promotional photo for Playa de Formentor, 1964

Happy Halloween! I’m blown away by this amazing photo restoration by a #soledadmiranda fan. From a black and white magazine photo in 1970.

…Prize to the humorists, wow!

…Our humorists, who tend to be very important people, very serious on the inside and, above all, with enough poetry, when choosing a Muse have not beat around the bush. They have gone to this slender trunk, with her Op-Art sheath, called Soledad Miranda. What?…

From the Archives: 7 Fechas (Madrid newspaper, April 5, 1966): THE BEAUTY OF THE COMICS. When choosing their Muse, Spanish humorists have not thought for a moment of what Rousseau painted in the picture of Apollinaire: a square Muse, almost a tone of a joke. #soledadmiranda …

…comprendamos. Soledad está sola, pero contenta. #soledadmiranda

…boyfriend, despite being so pretty and despite, also, that on repeated occasions has hooked on her some loving romance. Soledad denies: "I have not had a boyfriend nor do I have one." And if she says it, we believe her, but we do not understand. Soledad is single, but happy.
