BREAKING: The Government's inhumane Rwanda Bill has passed its second reading in the House of Commons
Read our statement 👇🏽

ALT Bill passed We are appalled that the government’s inhumane Rwanda Bill has been allowed to progress. This is an extremely dangerous Bill that puts people’s lives at risk while letting the government rewrite facts and place themselves above the law. In Parliament, we heard MPs from across parties listing the many reasons why this Bill must be rejected. The Bill cannot be allowed to go further. We will fight it every step of the way, to defend the rights of people who need safety and protection.
To join our event on Thursday at 5:30pm to learn more about legal aid for people seeking asylum, and about information as a form of humanitarian response, register for a free ticket below:

Yesterday, we went to 10 Downing Street to deliver our joint petition and open letter calling on the government to scrap the Illegal Migration Bill, as a group of activists, campaigners, students and people with lived experience of the UK’s asylum system. (1/3)
The morning of our visit, we learned that the Bill had already been forced through & passed into law. We knocked on the door at Number 10 anyway. Many of us are devastated by this news, but we cannot accept this as final. (2/3)
