Skiff update: drag and drop images onto a session. Skiff inserts them in the terminal and keeps them in a library so you can reuse them in other sessions. Skiff is a lightweight desktop app built around your terminal, and terminals handle dropped files a bit differently. Now it works the same way everywhere.

Skiff update! You can now update from the app. I got tired of the release - download - install cycle. How many release per day would you consider healthy?

Day 1 of migrate-karbonfm. I want to see how my migrate-filemaker skill holds up on real FileMaker solutions, so I'm running it on a few in the open. First up is KarbonFM, the open-source CRM from Geist Interactive. The DDR has 13 files and 4,768 objects. I ran this first pass with 27 agent sessions: 22 explorers and 5 workers. The app will be a Tauri desktop app (Rust and SQLite) for macOS, Windows and Linux. You can read the plan and check out the design mocks in the repo: github.com/solutionscay/migr…

Skiff sessions are owned by skiffd, a background daemon. The good thing is you can close the app and everything runs in the background. It's also why remote hosts in v2 are possible. The downside is sessions can get misplaced and forgotten. So Skiff 1.7.5 now has a skiffd activity panel. Should I add "Sink All"? I can't resist.

Dosirak is a personal desktop database, inspired by FileMaker Bento, and built for a person and an agent to work in together. Your own records, in forms and lists you lay out yourself, kept on your own computer. You can do everything yourself, or connect your agent and hand off the build and the data entry. It only reaches the projects you open to it, and you decide table by table what it can read, create, edit, or delete. It's on the Microsoft Store now with a 15-day free trial on Windows. The Mac version is under review for the Mac App Store.

The Main Skipper's name now defaults to Admiral. It deserves the rank. You can also now set /SKIPPER.md files for your Skipper crew, so they get specific Fleet and Project instructions. Once we hit v2 with remote hosts and then v2.5 with scheduled tasks, will Skiff turn into the simplest and most lightweight autonomous agent orchestrator we've ever seen?

Building several products in a nutshell? You fix one bug and find three in another app.

Dosirak's Mac App Store review came back. The reviewer is asking for a sample file, so I put together this beautiful page for them with a download of the Recipes database. dosirakdb.app/sample-databas…

Skiff has become an absolute powerhouse for me. The agent ranks are clear and the handoffs are clean - Main Skipper: the fleet admiral, orchestrating everything - Fleet Skipper: the commodore, commanding a squadron of projects - Project Skipper: the captain, sailing solo on one project - Sailors: the squids and deckhands, they do all the work Every skipper has its own folder and AGENTS.md. Sailors get their instructions passed in with their prompts. And you, the human, can take over any session at any rank. What makes it special? - No GUI bloat - No changing your core agent configs - No plugins and hooks all over the place - No infinite skill slop - No surprise 20 GB dumpster db We're running a tight ship here. v2 is lined up for remote hosts v2.5 will bring scheduled tasks

I don't see anyone in my feed building products for the @MicrosoftStore But why? Look at this: submitted a new version at 10:29 and it was approved at 10:43. 14 minutes. Yea, don't build for the Microsoft Store, I don't want y'all clogging the review pipeline.

I have my promo video skill and scripts dialed in. I can ask my Claude Skiff agent to build a promo video on any feature and it just makes it, using real screens with mock data, horizontal and vertical orientations. Here I asked it to explain how agent delegation works.

Here's the new gallery feature in Skiff. Every image you drop into a Skiff terminal gets saved in the agent-skiff cache. The library is accessible from any Skiff session. Pin your favorites so they're always on top. Super handy if you find yourself looking for the same images over and over.

Skiff is built with Tauri, so the UI is a web frontend. That means I can ask my agents to take screenshots through headless Chrome. It works great, and I don't have to spend time setting up sessions to show off a feature. Here's one they just took of the new Fleet Skipper. Fake data, real app.

While building Skiff v2 with Skiff, I realized I needed Project Skippers. Orchestrating different projects through one agent started to get nuts. Now every project can have its own Skipper, so the main Skipper can drop anchor and keep watch while I relax. Live in Skiff 1.7.

The desktop app runs on my machine. The remote simply owns all the PTYs and the configs. I get all the benefits of a desktop app for both local and remote work, without the monstrosity of Electron or a 10 GB bundled VM for cOWoRk I will never use.

Skiff v2 is coming: your agents run on another computer and you drive them from this one. Add a server in Settings › Hosts and Skiff sets itself up there over SSH and keeps running after you log out. Folders come from a list, no typing paths. Testing on my LAN now, a VPS next. - Post and video built from Skiff via my phone 🤓
