President Ramaphosa says Afrikaner persecution is a false narrative. I worked on the president’s farm when he was Vice President of South Africa.
I did my work honestly and correctly. I was mocked, threatened and had apartheid thrown in my face because I am a white man. People worked to get rid of me, and in the end they succeeded. The workers gave him an ultimatum and my contract was ended.
Before that, a fellow staff member warned me to get away from the farm, because they were going to stab me. I was threatened on the president’s own farm. It is all in my sworn affidavit, filed with USCIS.
President Trump looked at the facts and found that Afrikaners are persecuted. Yet USCIS found there is no pattern of persecution of Afrikaners, and on that basis says my family does not qualify. How can anyone call persecution a false narrative when it happened on the president’s farm?

I agree. Now apply it consistently.
South Africa has 145 operative race laws (IRR Index of Race Law, June 2025), including BEE and B-BBEE. These laws make race a legal factor in hiring, procurement, ownership and land. White South Africans are about 7% of the population, and Afrikaans-speaking whites are a smaller share still. For a white child, the circumstances of birth are exactly what the law uses to determine prospects.
Your own Stats SA reports official unemployment at 33.6% for Q2 2026, and 43.8% on the broader measure. In a labour market that tight, race-based rules decide who is considered at all.
My son is white and Afrikaans speaking. I had apartheid thrown in my face on your own farm, Mr President, when I worked for you, and I was basically threatened for doing my job honestly. I watched the same treatment reach my children. That is discrimination by design, and for families like mine it has become persecution.
You cannot promise that birth will not decide a young person's future while keeping laws that do precisely that.
Where is my future? Where is my child's future?

I met with Dhundup Gyalpo, the Dalai Lama’s representative for Africa, and heard firsthand of the terrible attack against the Office of Tibet on October 14, the second attack in three months. I strongly condemn this apparently politically motivated attack, which fits a broader pattern of transnational repression against Tibetans worldwide. I also express my full support to the Office of Tibet and my expectation that the South African authorities expeditiously find, arrest, and hold to account the perpetrators.

In 2003, you narrated and produced a segment called Bloody Harvest for Carte Blanche. It focused on farm murders in South Africa.
You interviewed Gregory Stanton, who heads Genocide Watch. Carte Blanche even flew to Berlin to interview him. He explained in detail what a genocide is and why it could be the case in South Africa.
In 2003, he already stated that South Africa was at Stage 5 out of 8 on the Genocide Watch list. You, as Ruda Landman and as Carte Blanche, then laid out the case for him and showcased various farm murders in South Africa and how the aim was to torture, rape and not steal anything.
May I ask, Ruda, since this interview, thousands more farmers have been brutally murdered with exactly the same modus operandi, and yet now you are the one saying that farm murders are just normal crime.
I would like to know why you feel this way and why, with all the overwhelming evidence confirming what you illustrated in your segment over 23 years ago, you now feel differently and go so far as to call it "normal crime"

FARM ATTACKS: 7–13 SEPTEMBER 2026
Five farm attacks were reported between 7 and 13 September 2026. The incidents took place in Gauteng, the Western Cape and North West.
📍 Zandfontein, Gauteng — 9 September 2026
Two suspects attacked a smallholding where a woman, her son and his girlfriend were present. The woman was struck on the head with a spade and sustained serious head injuries. Her son fought back against the attacker and sustained minor injuries. The attackers fled with a cellphone. The woman was hospitalised for medical treatment.
📍 Rural Gordons Bay, Western Cape — 10 September 2026
A group of masked suspects attacked three victims on a smallholding. The suspects stole various items, including jewellery, cash and household goods, before fleeing. Local security structures responded shortly after the incident.
📍 Saron, Western Cape — 10 September 2026
A group of suspects broke into a farm. The residents were attacked after they went to investigate. The attackers robbed the victims before fleeing the scene.
📍 De Wildt, North West — 12 September 2026
An elderly man and woman were attacked on a smallholding. Gunshots were reported during the incident, and a cellphone as well as another personal item were reportedly stolen. Security structures, emergency services and the SAPS responded to the incident and launched a search for the suspects.
📍 Rhenosterfontein, North West — 12 September 2026
A couple were attacked and robbed on a smallholding. Family members responded to the incident and later transported the victims to hospital. The attackers stole various items, including household goods and cellphones.
