It was a pleasure to be asked by @WeTransfer to create our Manifesto for Life.
We thought hard about it, and created 10 rules to guide an artistic journey.
We hope these rules resonate with you in your life.

One week of ‘Héritage’! Thank you for all of the love and kind words on the album, we are so thrilled the music is resonating with you - wherever you are in the world ❤️
From our album Héritage, the song “Norou” features the amazing @RokiaKoneMusic. There was a real family atmosphere in the studio that day & the golden voice of Rokia was the icing on the cake. Her power tore up this song & amazed us. Thank you for sharing this moment, Rokia ❤️
The instrument he plays, the djembé, originated in West Africa, particularly the Mandé, which gave its name to present-day Mali. This instrument, to which Adama Diarra holds the secret , accompanies all kinds of festive events at home.
Our friends at @maliculture created a special mini-documentery about some of the songs from the album; the writing process and the inspiration behind the songs ❤️ youtu.be/tkbtdVWWj6k?si=P0yR…
Today is a very special day for Songhoy Blues, and we invite you to join us in celebrating the release of our new album, Héritage!
Over the past few years, through the pandemic and many other challenges here in Mali, we were able to craft a collection of music that is very close to our hearts & souls. Héritage represents the sound of us reconnecting with the spirit of our Malian culture.

Friends…
We present our song “Dagabi” from ‘Héritage’.
Dagabi means ‘hypocrite’.
We hope to see a world without Dagabi one day.
There is an african adage that says: “Let’s scratch what itches”
So, let’s move away from those who divide us.
The full video is on YouTube now, and the album is out on Friday ❤️ youtu.be/Nq_J3DGX3sY
