THE ARRIVAL OF TIFFANY YOUNG @tiffanyyoung On 20 August, she released Edge of Calm – her first full-length solo studio album, arriving almost a decade after her 2016 EP I Just Wanna Dance, and nineteen years after she debuted as a member of the legendary K-pop group, Girls' Generation. tmrwmagazine.com/storage/art… By most measures, this should read as a fresh start. She's just signed with Pacific Music Group Korea as the label's first artist, following a 360 deal announced earlier this year. Her comeback single "Summer's Not Over" marked her first Korean solo release in a decade. An eight-city Asia tour follows the album's release in September, closing with a homecoming show in Seoul in December. Every marker of a new era is present and accounted for. Except Young doesn't talk about it that way. Ask her what it feels like to finally call something a debut album at this stage of her career, and she doesn't reach for reinvention. "It's actually pretty beautiful and a little funny," she says. "I've had so many chapters before this, so the word 'debut' doesn't feel like starting over. It feels like arriving at something I've been building toward for a long time." #TMRW #TIFFANYYOUNG
